I like them when I see them live, but I really don't care for them when I have a choice.

So I'm walking back from Heavy MTL and what do I find? Fucking Megadeth playing a private show at some hole in the wall club. All you need is your Heavy MTL ticket stub and you're in. Fucking sick!

also, the parc itself is not that big so having to take the cart or walk it's not that big of a deal.

Just got back from Summer of Slaughter with my fiance, and I have to say Vital Remains and Carnifex stole the show. Decapitated are decent live and Animals as Leaders have now officially made the list for one of the worst live bands I've ever seen.

Saw Testament, Megadeth, and Slayer last night (canadian carnage). Was pretty awesome. Testament is my favorite of the 3 bands and they mostly played stuff from their last 2 albums, which was sweet. Megadeth played all of Rust In Peace, then random songs from Endgame and some early stuff, Slayer I don't listen to that often so some songs I didn't recognize, but I think they played all of Seasons In The Abyss and then random favorites.

Testaments set was the best mostly because a lack of security. Security was wayyyy to prominent on the floor for Megadeth and Slayer and I think even at one point during Slayer stopped the pit altogether, which was really fucking gay.

Sounds like Heavy MTL but lacking the awesome support.

I'll put up a big post about how awesome Heavy MTL was, but that will have to be later.

You're not the only one. Behemoth is HUGE live and I'd really like to see Watain too. Haven't heard Withered or Black Anvil though.

Withered is awesome. And I would love to see a Behemoth headlining gig. I may drive 4 hours to Chicago for it if I can convince the lady friend.

Just went to a local crust punk show. The fact that they started 2 hours late and my friend's band wasn't playing I only stayed for one band but it rocked.

Securicor: http://www.moshpittragedy.com/dl-securicor.html
And my friend's band: http://www.myspace.com/fuckedforlifethrash

The other bands which I didn't see:

Soilwork and Death Angel will be in town this Tuesday night. I'm considering checking the show out. What says you?

Sounds like a great show .. love both bands. Death Angel's last album was great IMO.

So Behemoth canceled all future tours since Nergal has been sick for a while. People are claiming on the tubes that it might be leukemia

Nergal through google translation:
Quote:
I do not want to bore you with details, but I can no longer hide the fact that I am seriously ill and waiting for my multi-stage treatment, which can take up to several months. Thus, we delete the upcoming summer festivals, planned for September and October tour in Russia and the Baltic States and the November tour in the USA. I know that this is not the best news for you, but health is most important. I've got a rather difficult period, and a lot of work , but steel become hardened in the fire, is not it? You know me, so that you know that I'll get out of this stronger than ever. Then all the concerts also will plan from scratch and even greater momentum. At this time, I feel good, my head is focused to fight the disease, everything is under control by professionals. I have with me the most wonderful and loving woman, family, team, managers and people from publishing companies who are doing everything to support me.I do not ask you for more than just a little bit of patience. I would add that the fact that in the near future we will not be touring does not mean that Behemoth gets into hibernation. We have a lot to offer you in the coming months, Behemoth will work on many other fronts. In coming days expect release of our latest clip "Alas, Lord Is Upon Me." Ensures that this is the most perfect, the most provocative and stimulating I have ever made a picture. In addition, finish work on the DVD release trzyplytowym "Evangelia Heretika" which will be released in November of that year effort Mystic Prod This month we open our shop in the whole world, while working on new designs T-shirts and sophisticated gadgets that are in it available. That would be enough ... we will keep you informed of what's happening in our camp. Horns Up! "
