How are we supposed to see through the window of truth if you wipe greasy propaganda all over it, Trapt? HOW?
The window of truth that is Brad Paisley's "whine and moan while I drink before I go home to beat my wife for being the lying cheating whore that she is, since I can't satisfy her" music?

Oh I know it's the truth for quite a few people but sadly Contravene's lyrics are the truth for everyone so like it or not that shit is a ton sadder than your ex taking your dog.

No wonder we are fucked.
India has a kid every two seconds with 3600 secs in an hour, etc.

Birth control is really a magical, world-saving thing...

Right on but then again it's kinda rude to assume they're all unplanned.

Outside of the West, everything is unplanned.

Except in Far East, where everything is very planned. China and Japan, specially.

I didn't even bother to respond to that exactly because of what you're thinking.

Too bad you didn't respond. Thanks for your response, though.

Oh please. Isn't it clear that certain religious/ethnic groups prohibit birth control? I'm not criticizing those that don't have access to it--that is another problem. But to encourage large families is plainly irresponsible in our age.

Touche. But I just think that India's, and China's for that matter, population is sooooo huge that people, not having unplanned pregnancies and not having overly large families just trying to have a normal family, can add a ridiculous number of people to the population.

This sounds cumbersome but what I mean is that there populations have reached the point that natural growth is devastating to the world.

Yes, I agree with that. I applaud China's efforts to control their population while seeing the disappointing tendency that it means one male child each household. I'm not aware of India doing much about their growth though.

Can you really criticize them for not resorting to draconian measures? If I'm correct about India, their agrarian culture and its emphasis on family is what prevents any broad measures. Sadly, though, I think their quest for the benefits of Westernization blinds them from the harms which come with it and that ultimately is going to harm the planet. I can't be too judgmental insofar as frankly we're no better.

I wonder though if a one child policy in India would mirror China's misogynistic practices due to their traditionally matriarchal family structure.

China is now suffering from its one-child policy.

All this overpopulation stuff is black metal fans immersing themselves in too much misanthropy. Resource problems are generally caused by failures of distribution, not failures of population control.

Virgin Black - Requiem, Kyrie

Maybe not the saddest song ever written, but it definitely moves me.

Saddest is too subjective a term, but

Dreadful Shadows - Buried Again
Dreadful Shadows - The Drowning Sun
Dreadful Shadows - Dusk

always evoke a somber mood when I listen to them.

Another one is

Christian Death - Desperate Hell (Only Theater Of Pain)
