I didn't like Akeldama much but this one just tore my face off! It takes several listens to sink in but it's a crazy, awesome album. It's not as relentless as Origin but it's definitely as crushing. I'm usually not so much into this kind of brutal techy stuff but I really like this stuff! :dio:

I think this deserved a few more points, but otherwise the review is fairly spot on. I like this album quite a bit. It's nothing revolutionary, but a good one to get you going.

This guy walks around my uni with this album cover on his jacket. I thought it was deathcore but now that I'm not ignorant, I'll be talking to him.

I'm imagining Origin with melody so I'm interested.

Not too bad. The soundclip in PDII and the vocoder are annoying. Everything else is pretty awesome tech death.

Agree this is awesome tech-death and also that it deserved a higher score.

I remember in Metal Maniacs (was it the final issue?) they said these guys were the future of death metal. I won't comment on the score, but it's a wicked album for sure. The drums are WAY high in the mix, but it's the drummer's band, so ya know ...

This is a great album. I'd give it a 90 probably. And it's even slightly better than the debut.

they are/were a good band, but nowhere near the future of death metal.

"Were" as in they are now just some average boring tech band.

I'm kinda getting sick of all the heartless tech that's coming out these days, to be honest.

I heard a song from these guys and I couldn't help noticing how much they abused the whole "fully-diminished-arpeggio arrg-we're-so-brutal" thing. It was pretty boring. :/
