ah no but i thought you were angry at Kilmarnock because you now supported Kilmarnock and they had lost.

(now i understand that they defeated Aberdeen).

sorry for the mix-up.

Aye, no worries man.

Tried to find the Scotland game on last night, no one was showing it. Ended up watching a Switzerland-Australia friendly. Meh.

er... sounds like a great game?

Portugal tied 4-4 at home to FUCKING CYPRUS. i didn't even watch the match, and furthermore refuse to watch any national team match as long as that asshole Queirosz is manager and the parasite Gilberto Madail is head of the federation.

Hah, that was one awesome result for Norway!

Norway played pretty shit last night against Iceland as well. We'll see how we do against Portugal. You guys tend to suck in qualification, especially against lesser teams.

Scotland don't seem to have got any better under Levein and I really can't see us qualifying. Also Darren Fletcher is so poor for Scotland I think he needs to be dropped for a few games at least.

Just wait for MacFadden to get his game back up. Hartley's been having a hell of a good season as well, once the pace picks up there could be quite a lot of chances.

We do desperatley need McFadden on form. Only him and Maloney can give us that bit of flair needed to break down teams and without them we end up struggling to mke any proper chances, like we have done in the last two games.

I agree about Hartley. I was gutted he left Celtic, his absence was one of the main reasons we struggled last season.

And the main reason we're doing so much better now than we were before. :D

i said i'd never watch a portugal match again but there was nothing good on TV, so i saw the lsat half-hour of Portugal vs Norway. i can't even say i'm underwhelmed these days, it was pathetic.

the assistant manager, standing in for the suspended Queirosz, only made his 1st substitution 70 minutes in, true Queiroszian tradition. when people asked him why, he said "it was in the game plan". that must be one of the stupidest statements i've ever heard in football.

BTW, dunno if you're familiar with the mess going on in Portuguese football. Queirosz was signed in 2008 for a 4 year contract for i think 100 grand a month. after the terrible qualification and WC, the federation realised it would be prohibitively expensive to fire him, so they made up some charges about him insulting the anti-doping staff and suspended him for 6 months, in an effort to justify firing him with no settlement.
i hate Queirosz but i'm siding with him, what the federation is doing is pathetic.

after going to every competition since Euro 96, except WC98, Portugal now find themselves calculator in hand once again, only 2 matches into qualification. we're going back to the days when we only made a major competition every 20 years. people think we are worse than usual, but i disagree. since 1996 we have been better than usual and this is no more than a return to form.

Frigid supports Aberdeen? Ya sheep shagging bastard!

I was at the Scotland game the other night - we deserved the win in my opinion but sure went the hard way about it.

McFadden was fucking dreadful and Scottish fans needs to get away from this idea of him being our 'talisman' who must start every game. He's pulled out a few spectacular moments for us over the years for which I'll be eternally gratfeul, but has never offered anything consistent at club level since he left Motherwell seven years ago.

James Morrison came on for the second half and did more in 10 minutes than he did in the whole of the first.

Right, we're nothing but sheep shagging bastards, ya cunt. :D

Paul Hartley is where Scotland's focus should be, IMO.

Well that holding midfield role is currently held by Lee McCulloch, who had the season of his career last year. A very underrated player. Hartley has always done a good job for Scotland though.

Nice last minute win for us today, that's 6 goals in 4 games for Kenny Miller so far. That number 9 jersey looks like a good fit for him. :D

Fucking fuck fuck fuckity fucking arse head and hole.

How the fuck do you get 3 goals in 9 minutes? With a freak own goal by Mark Howard and dubiously deserved penalty, that's how. Fucking Scumdee.

Ah well, at least we should still be third. Now to slaughter Motherwell next week.

talking to some germans from Mexico about this CL matchday, we remembered the "Lukas Podolski" song. it's... awesome.

about the CL matchday: no surprises, i guess. Arsenal fucked Braga, but one must remember it was the club's first ever CL match. still gg, very nice passing play... very Barcelona-ish. and the Blaugrana themselves...

Benfica beat Happoel Tel Aviv 2-0. far from a brilliant display, but an improvement on last week's league match.
