It's really a good album but I remember those screechy, wailing vocals are like way more intense than any other BM band I've listened to lately and really grated on me. I haven't listened to this since Dago brought it up awhile ago so maybe I'll give it another shot.

Edit: This is awesome. I don't listen to a ton of depressive black metal but this is great.

This is a pretty good album, along the lines of Sterbend, Ossadogva, Todeskult, I Shalt Become, Apathia, etc etc.

The problem with so-called depressive Black Metal (I rather like a lot of it, myelf) is the sameness throughout the genre.

If you like this, check out Incorporea's demo- Tongue of the Moribund and some Abyssmal Sorrow.

Derivative in Black Metal is not necessarilly a bad thing.

Thanks, this isn't a subgenre I'm especially au fait with and I don't know many of those bands. Will have a look see.

Same for me. All I know is I'm digging the hell out of this album.
