Me too, if Peaceville ignore my requests for a free copy. Which they almost certainly will.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the new Durdeduh 7'' that just came out!

Image

Durdeduh - Valea Umului

1. 1. Zuh - Cu Tunetul Muntilor
2. Cumpat

(Links are to youtube vidoes of the songs)

I think it's fucking great, it arrived the other day. As always Prophecy records (Lopus Lounge in this case, but about the same thing) to an excellent job with packaging. I really with that more record companies would take after.

Oh, and while on the topic, Emperium are back, and will be releasing a new song on Prophecy Records compilation CD entitled "Whom the Moon a Nightsong sings", and it seems as if a new CD is in the making too.

Prophecy Records wrote:
Empyrium are back!

We are incredibly happy to announce that Empyrium, the most renowned Prophecy act ever, has decided to reunite and to record new music! Here's the official statement of Schwadorf on the reunion: "Since the rumours start to spread we think it's about time to make this official: Empyrium is alive again! Our first new sign of life will be the song 'The Days Before The Fall' on the Prophecy Prod. compilation 'Whom The Moon A Nightsong Sings' but we have plans for more! The spirit is back and it really feels right to us to start writing songs with Empyrium again. We are not in a rush though so don't expect a full lenght today or tomorrow but we have the patience and faith to make this new songs outstanding and unique. Just as Empyrium ever was...."

To celebrate this remarkable news, you can order all Empyrium albums from Prophecy's online shop for only 9,99 Euro incl. worldwide shipping. As this offer will only be valid for a short time, take the chance to fill the gaps in your Empyrium collection now!

And last but not least, there's a pretty awesome Agalloch vinyl box set out too.

Quote:
This box contains vinyl editions (180g) of American AGALLOCHs releases "Ashes against the Grain", "The Mantle", "Pale Folklore" and "Of Stone, Wind and Pillor". All LPs come with entirely new artwork designed by Fursy Teyssier (LES DISCRETS) and are accompanied by a 56-page softcover book with lyrics and photographs as well as a slipmat with the coverartwork of the LPs for your record player at home. "Of Stone, Wind and Pillor" features additional exclusive live material, which has never been released before.

The box itself is made of dark birchwood, embroided with a burned band logo on the front and more info on the inside. The box is handnumbered and limited to 500 copies only.

130€ is a bit much, but it's 7 LPs....I couldn't resist the urge. Hopefully it arrives soon...

Damn, I'm becoming a vinyl nerd...Charles...go buy a vinyl player!

.:crast:.

New Kataklysm. It's alright, better than the last release so far but it's not really sticking in my head so far.

Not only is this guy's band's album the best melodeath I've heard in eons, but the guy has great taste in other metal bands!

I'm ashamed to have been behind the curve on the Dordeduh, especially after checking every few days since the project was announced. Thank you good sir!

Edit--On first listen, I'd say Cumpat is old Negura Bunget at its very best. The guitarwork is sublime. The other track didn't make as much of an impression, but no doubt will be a grower.

There's a new Helstar on its way, called Glory of Chaos. Out in November.

They will ignore you doesn't sound pompous.

Yeah, I know. There was an Agalloch thread a while ago, and I was like "I love Agalloch!" and everyone else was like "Mehhh, this is boooorring. I don't get the hyyyypppe. Go listen to Immolaaation." Or something to that effect.

Are you getting a free copy? At first it seemed like you said they were jerks who would deny you a free copy, now I'm just confused

I'm pretty sure I'm not... I just emailed them saying "hi guys I'm a super important reviewer at the world's greatest metal webzine can you send me a free Autopsy CD" and I got the silent treatment.

Oh, I'm very interested as well. I just hope it sounds more like the first half of the last full-length then the second half.

Wow, boring? Not a chance, I love this band and am really looking forward to a new release.
