Fuck yeah, the way you describe this makes me want to go hunt it down. This is definitely going to be one of 2010's best albums next to Ironbound, Eparistera Daimones, and Majesty and Decay. I'm really looking forward to buying this, along with Sphinx.

I am very much looking forward to hearing this. For myself personally Djinn was a past fav over Sphinx, though they are both good albums. The only thing offputting for me is the production, they are talented musicians and capable of creating quality tunes and atmosphere, but the weak production always took away from that imho. Emissaries was a huge improvement I feel and its so far my fav, though I hope this album is a welcome suprise. Emissaries remains on the list I have when it comes to reaching for an album for a solid listen, backround enhancer or inspirational piece.

Xinen, I think if Emissaries is your favourite Melechesh so far you will love this.

So few replies... not much love for Melechesh :( ?

I for one feel that, if the first half of this year's extreme metal was ruled supreme by Immolation, the second one falls under the sign of Melechesh. I'm having a very hard time trying to make up my mind which one I prefer most. It's irrelevant anyway. What matters is that Epigenesis seems to be one of those very few albums that bring back magic into this world. It ensnares you in its atmosphere of eastern mysticism and ancient spells and battles of giants and religious dawn and never lets go. It's more than music, it's a portal to other worlds. I just can't seem to get enough of it.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't had the time to give it a proper listen, which is a damn shame. *Rips it onto iTunes*
