Aye, I know about the poppies. But what's the connection to Celtic fans?

They are holding up a sign that criticises people who wear poppies.

Aye, I get that. My confusion stems from my ignorance of Glasgow Celtic history- are they known to be idiotic pacifists or something or is this just a random event?

I have no idea, Fridge, it doesn't matter to me in terms of the point I was making. Why don't you ask some random Scotch person?

I will, but you brought it up, so I thought I'd ask you. I'll send the pic to a mate of mine, diehard Celtic fan and ex-soldier with 6 years in Somalia, Darfur and Afghanistan. See what he says to that.

I would have been just as disgusted were it any other club.

to be honest a 4-1 or 4-2 result would not have been unfair as Spain squandered a few chances, but all in all a deserved win for Portugal.

plus, Ronaldo had an AMAZING goal unfairly disallowed... seriously, do yourself a favour and watch it:

 That wasn't unfair, it was offside because Nani, the utter twat, headbutted it. Sucks for Ronaldo, but on a team full of egos, shit like that's bound to happen.

the ball was in when he actually put his head to it.

but... i actually don't think it was his ego that led Nani to head it in. the angle could have seemed uncertain and he wanted to make sure. a shame, of course, because Pique and Busquets are still recovering from that play.

And, was Nani really offside when the ball was played? Doesn't Pique cancel that one out?

either him or Busquets, the guy that tried the sliding tackle on Ronaldo i think puts Nani onside.

about Spain, they're still a ridiculously difficult team to play if you let them do their build-up game. but i think that now the 'secret' is more or less out, you gotta charge them and not give them time to think. if you wait and let them play, like Portugal did in the World Cup, you know that Xavi is going to find a hole to put his penis/ball through and fuck you.
Spain has to be able to play both build up and charging football if they want to remain the team to beat. because talent-wise it's clear that they have ridiculously talented players to make the team in the next 5-10 years, just look at their youth football squads.

one of the worst misses i've ever seen.
"coach i'm so sorry for that miss, i could kick myself"
"don't bother, you'd probably miss"

Thats 2 home draws in a row for Celtic. I'm not sure how but since we won 9-0 we have been awful.

Next up is Aberdeen away. I'll getting the train through with the other guys from our supporters club so it should be a good day out and hopefully we get a win against the only team who seem to be worse than us at the moment.

I'm going to get my tickets for Pittodrie in the next few days. Should be a great game as long as Hartley doesn't get himself sent off again.

What's funny is that Aberdeen consistently outperform Celtic at firm games. Aberdeen 2-3 Rangers in September, for instance. U.U

There's always a good atmosphere when we play at Pittodrie. These days most teams seem to do better against Rangers than we do.
