Went on a bit of a binge while in Melbourne for Metallica (especially as the only decent CD shop in my town closed down a few months ago):

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Blind Guardian - At The Edge Of Time
Bolt Thrower - Mercernary
Bonded By Blood - Feed The Beast
Dio - Holy Diver
Kataklysm - Prevail
Metal Church - Metal Church
Soulfly - Dark Ages
The Big 4 - Live from Sophia, Bulgaria (DVD)

A mixture of different stuff:

In this Moment - A Star-Crossed Wasteland
My Chemical Romance - Danger Days
Goo Goo Dolls - Something For The Rest of US
Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3

so far I'm very pleased by In This Moment's A Star-Crossed Wasteland. Very melodic and nice guitar work. If You liked "the Dream", their new release pushes up the ante, and is more well rounded album.

I like it thus far. I'm going to need to listen to it more before I form a more solid opinion. It's heavier, though! I dig that. They've always at least had an atmosphere that reminded me of black metal, but here they seem more directly influenced by it.

Some songs are heavier, but some are most definitely not. Overall, I'd say it's a more complex polished affair. I like it a lot.

It's a great album, but it's definitely a grower. More than their other albums IMO.
