I'm about 6 hours into Dragon Age and I'm loving it so far. But has no one else noticed the similarities between Dragon Age's story and Mass Effect's story? The Grey Wardens are basically medieval Spectres, and the Darkspawn are like the Geth: Disappeared for a few hundred years, then suddenly reappearing like crazy.

This is why I haven't played this game, basically.

I played Dragon Age for a bit, but then there is this point, very early in the game, where during a siege you have to go give a signal or something. In the first level of the tower I already found it almost impossible to get through first the trap (don't have anyone who can disarm it) and the archers cut my force to shreds. I'm just playing in normal, I've tried about six times and the one time I could get through I forgot to save and died in the next room.

ffffffffffuuuuuuu

then you get to the top of the tower and have a troll/ogre rape you.

Urgh yeah, that ogre is really bothersome. The party members are too incompetent to not get killed by it so I had to take run away from it a lot and take out the last third of its health solo.

What are you guys talking about ? its not really that hard, i've done the tower of Ishal part three times with little to no hassle, once as Warrior and twice as a Rogue, just concentrate on one guy at a time and it should be an easy win, although i did find it easier on PC.

The Ogre is not that hard either, but the thing with the early parts of the game is that unless you are a Mage with the heal spell, you're gonna have to depend on health poultices until Wynne joins the party, the High Dragon on the other hand... now thats a challenge.

I just cant get enough of this game, im on my third playthrough and im having blast, i already bought awakenings and all of the other DLC, Dragon Age 2 is my most anticipated game of this year,

Yeah, amazing game. I played it on the hardest difficulty and found it to be perfectly balanced. Although I wish I hadn't killed Wynne, lol. Almost all of the boss fights ended with my main character being one hit from dying. It was epic.

Now playing: A bunch of shit. I've installed a million old games like Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty which is hard as FUCK and Sim City 3000. Unfortunately I can't get 10 minutes into a Sim City game without the economy going to shit.

I also bought Alan Wake, Gears 2 and Halo Reach for 360.

Alan Wake is awesome.

I'm playing Dragon Age not being a mage and the key to hard fights (though once you get Wynne in your party it is much easier, which is why you should go to the Tower of Magi ASAP) is to micromanage your party's tactics and their actions during battle as much as possible; pause after every attack if you need to. If you can't disarm traps, send one character in on solo mode, trigger it and let him retreat to heal- then kick some ass.

Oh, and the High Dragon is such a hard fight. But damn if I didn't kick a lot of ass eventually. Rogue is the way to go...
