Good review, more importantly, a fair review. Incidentally, this is the same score I'd give, or maybe a 70.

And Steve, comparing this to the new destruction is silly. Destruction have been doing the exact same (admittedly wonderful) thing forever, and if not forever, definitely since the reunion, which is more than a decade.

Death angel haven't made a straight ahead thrasher since '87. Nor have they tried to, or even pretended to. They're about growth, or at least exploration of their sound. Apples/oranges.

I'd give this a 55 at best. Just a little more enjoyable then the last Trivium album.
