90% of what Planned Parenthood does is performing abortions.

Free market is an illusion anyway. As for Monsanto, Trapt, have you seen Food Inc?
I actually have. I really enjoyed it. Guys, I had my tongue in my cheek a little when I was talking about Monsanto. I thought maybe the "doing it well" being causing a bunch of Indian farmers to commit suicide might show that. I don't really know how someone defends Monsanto but I was doing a little spiel of what it might look like, no?

My apologies then.

Four trillion over 12 years ?! I wish my Pres had those guts. For France it would mean a 700 or 800-billion cut, which is absolutely unthinkable. Even less thinkable a year before a national election.

Hell, he'd have a hell of a hard time planning a 100-billion cut over 20 years

I'd prefer that being done by a vice president than everything that Cheney has ever done. Biden such a goof. He's like your embarrassing grandpa.

What is it with this country and former Prime Ministers thinking they deserve to fall into top jobs? So glad Blair never became EuroPres.

You're a Tory, Zad ? Just asking. I'm a centrist.

In France, Sarkozy battled in favor of Strauss-Kahn (who is a political adversary), for the head of IMF. Funny thing is : he probably will be Sarko's main competitor next year (Presidential election).

Nah, I'm a Lib Dem. Coalition supporter, centrist, social libertarian.

 Whatever, Fridge. Every country in Europe except us has coalitions a majority of the time, it's about time people grew up a bit. And stopped releasing terrorists for dodgy reasons, eh?

Oh, that's what I'd probably vote for, if I were a Brit. Glad to see you're getting out of the two-party system. We struggle to get out of ours, in spite of the gazillion existing parties here...

A coalition shouldn't imply Clegg bending over and taking whatever Cameron wants to shove up his bum. I know Cameron broke all his promises too, but no one really expected that posh cunt to keep to his word.

Random homophobia, nice. The one promise broken was the tuition fees pledge, because the new system is fairer than the old one. Otherwise, tax reform, voting reform, HoL reform, green energy investment, money for poor childrens' education, annual banking levy, overseas aid protected, civil liberties protected, Trident renewal put off, let alone saving the Human Rights Act, stopping inheritance tax cuts, marriage tax breaks and child detention - quite a list of achievements for a junior partner in a coalition, in the first year!

And what about the cuts to the NHS, the Big Society, etc?

Well, what about them? We went into the election without saying the NHS would be ringfenced from spending cuts, and now spending on it will rise year on year. As for the reforms, which I assume were what you meant, some of what Lansley wants to do we agree with. A lot we don't, however, hence it being put off for a rethink, if Lansley even survives. As for the Big Society, the phrase doesn't really mean anything - cuts were necessary no matter who got in, and there's no reason the voluntary sector shouldn't be empowered.
