Doesn't many people believe eating an anormally large amount of red meat will make them stronger? There's a lot of idiocy going on regarding how we - who think we're civilized - treat animals... So what you're saying is like that we treat the animals we consume equally inhumane but they're just not the animals we love and that we view certain animals as 'edible' unlike say tigers, rhinos, bears and sharks in order to justify awful practices? No way. That's stupid.

The French are part of Western civilization, asshat, and Stefan was questioning just how civilized we like to think that we are given our practices of force-feeding, hormone manipulation, vivisection, factory farming, animal testing and excessive consumption of meat which requires breeding such a large amount of animals that it fucks up ecosystems.

Moral of the story:
Hunt. Doesnt get any more "humane" than that.

Actually, protein builds muscle, so there is some basis in fact that eating more meat (beef is actually not at the top of the protein "food chain", so to speak, though) will increase strength.
Of course consumption of meat must be coupled with strength training exercises for this to occur.
