Death Angel line-up (mostly) but nothing like Death Angel. Kinda 90s ish, with some stoner metal moments. Good for something slightly different.

Love the Klabautamann purchase! They definitely have a sound that is all their own.

Definitely. The Doomsword albums are very well done too with influences from Viking Metal and of course traditional Doom. Have you heard of them before?

I think I've heard a few songs of every album but I've never bothered to really look into them to be honest. Something you'd recommend?

It's more atmospheric/Doom/Traditional/viking with satisfying melodies and a great paste/structure that needs time to sink and grow on you, in my opinion at least. I suggest you check out more tracks on youtube. There is a couple reviews on this site which I am fairly sure you have seen already. It's very good music when one wants something less complex and more emphasis on mood and atmosphere itself. One cannot always listen to Canvas Solaris can they? They're highly complex, harmonic, and have a fantastic structure.

Sounds interesting, I'll give them another listen.

They're certainly not the easiest band to listen to, very heavy and very layered music. Give them another chance and remember they have a sound of their own that needs repetitive listens to grasp.

It's also very good to see another Camel fan around; a criminally underrated band.
