Are you watching the one where they trimmed all the episodes down by eliminating the obnoxious battle scenes? A friend told me they did that in order to prolong episodes because the cartoon episodes was being created faster than the manga could be printed so they had to stall for time.

What do you mean by battle scenes? Any fighting, or the bits where their faces yell against multicoloured backgrounds?

I think he's talking about the battles that go on for 20 episodes.

Yeah that. Not a DBZ fan but a friend was telling me I might like this edited version which I lack the name of because they package it all better cutting out the silly bits of faces flashing and obnoxious grunts that are dragged out.

But yeah, the recut series is called Dragonball Z Kai and has updated translations, re-recorded voice acting, and much less filler. Personally I prefer the original show because the new series doesn't quite invoke the level of nostalgia that the original does, but to each their own. Either way, DBZ is still fucking awesome. :dio:

There is nothing in the bodies of text indicated to support your claim, as much as its my reflections of the broader problem of lack of ability to write for the current crop of reviewers. Also, there were a few cheap shots at myself, so it matters not to me if discretion should be used, as nonchalant comments made on that are reflective of the disconnect between site expectations and the excuses made by the writers for at least writing two reviews. I have no further comment on the issue

god i used to think that real fighting was similar to that when i was a kid but god i was wrong
