Quite low requirements... Hmm.

Indeed, I'm quite suspicious. Seems like a life ago when I played Diablo II.

Bruce, what happened with your enthusiasm about Skyrim?

Don't you also need a permanent internet connection? And isn't the game now fuelled by some crappy buy/sell system?

The Diablo 3 beta has started, so the system requirements should be accurate. The game doesn't look that great to be honest and Blizzard are pretty good at optimizing their games. Still, 1GB RAM seems ridiculously low. I have 1GB and my computer runs slowly when using Mozilla.

The game will require you to be online, which isn't really a big deal these days since most games are played online anyway. The really shitty part is indeed the auction house. People will actually be able to quit their jobs and play Diablo 3 as a full time job grinding their lives away and selling shit on the auction house.

This is a TERRIBLE thing for everyone. Sure, many people have thrown their lives away playing WoW, but this auction house is going to be much worse because now you actually get something in real life from the hours you invest in the game.

the 320 GB will be nice to have a good chunk of music on. Hell, I could probably put all my cds on there and still have lots of room. Killing locusts while rocking out to some old Kreator will be tight, Pleasure to Kill indeed.

Slaying dragons > killing locusts.

But, yeah, good idea.

Agreed 100%. I expect to have more fun playing Torchlight 2 at this point anyway.

I tend to agree with both of you, but what if surviving our societies build upon entertainment was part of natural human evolution? I mean, some people obviously flush their lives down the toilet playing video games all day long. Ergo no social life. Ergo no sexual life. Ergo they never procreate. Ergo they disappear. And so only the fittest eventually survive.

Besides, be it with video games or not, some people are weak and prone to simply throw their lives away. Living in our western societies is tough, even almost unbearable. I wonder how many WoW addicts, in a world without WoW, would do drugs instead.

But I'm only mindlessly digressing here, back to topic: fuck Diablo III.

True, true. I live in Sweden and the whole country is going to shit because of stuff like this. Things are so good here that teenagers aren't expected to do anything at all, parents don't want to pressure their stupid fucking kids, so the kids end up wasting their lives on WoW/LoL/CS/HoN or whatever game is cool at the moment. Until they are old enough to realize that they've wasted their lives. The kids then develop social phobia because they are basically still children, mentally. But society expects so much more from them.

This among other things has created a country that is soon going to be run by women, because the men of my generation are unable to live a normal life (socialize) without being constantly drunk.

Sorry for posting this shit in the gaming forum, lol.

Sounds like a terrible emulator. It shouldn't be harder than checking the control scheme in the properties.

I think I know that emulator... You'll need to change the language options in the menu. Should have the key config as well.

So... Day Of Sex 3. Is it anywhere near the original's goodness, or is it like the crappy sequel?

*low expectations*

I actually had to google "Day of sex" to understand what you're talking about, haha. I'm dumb.

I'm told it's good, they sold 2 millions copies of it already (North America & Europe).

The reviews I have read, as well as the personal opinion of a friend of mine who's actually a reviewer for a fairly well known online gaming magazine (as far as that can sway your opinion) say it's quite a good game. In fact, said friend of mine said: "if you're of the gaming type, as in: you play games as a more-than-casual type of gamer, then you'll love it" so I'd reckon it's a worthy successor. Regardless, I don't have the cash for it right now so I'll only buy it at the Christmas sales on Steam or something, but don't let my stinginess deter you

I haven't played it yet. I'm also waiting for the price to go down. But I've read that it's a great game.

Supposedly the boss battles are really bad + some other minor things that make it less than perfect. The great thing about it is that you are able to choose between many different ways of finishing missions, just like in the first game. Oh, and the story is supposed to be amazing.

Will wait for price to lower too, so no doubt in a month we'll all be posting about it again...

Fun read. :D

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.

Best sidequest ever: Help the members of Blind Guardian get their stolen equipment back so they can continue touring. No, I'm not kidding.
