I'm surprised no one has picked Malkin he's most likely going to be on fire this year. He looks damn hungry, plus he'll be playing with James Neal. He should be racking up the points a lot more than St-Louis or Corey Perry. Just my 2 cents

From what i've seen so far from the pre-season he's fully recovered.
and he's not an injury prone player. Last year was the exception.
in 08-09 he had over 113 points and crosby was absent most of that season. So with all th minutes he'll be getting at the start of season he'll be playing big.

Quite possible about Malkin but there's other factors than just points to consider when drafting.

We've been discussing the league for almost a month now. :P

Anyway, the stats for skaters are Goals (G), Assists (A), Plus/Minus (+/-), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Powerplay Points (PPP), Shots on Goal (SOG).

Again the are other things and I'm talking purely from a drafting point of view but I don't want to get too much into that at the risk of giving away my drafting strategy (I know....I take this too seriously. I have no life). :P

Ovechkin would have been my first overall pick.. But the Sedin's are definitely "safer" picks.

Crosby is a big gamble for sure... though I wouldn't be surprised to see him score 90 points even if he only plays 50 games :D
