DevotedWally: STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS BABY! After 4 seasons. This "strategy" of giving away draft positions like there was no tomorrow finally paid off, now let's see if I can stay on top. Only Price and Budaj remain of the original roster (and Budaj fucking sucks, I'm going to trade him ASAP. Price is stellar though. A concrete wall.) I got rid of Subban for Hamonic, Shea Weber was too expensive.
Ah, anyway. Now back to boring real life, I have work to do...

I dropped down to 9th place in my GM, and continued to lose. So I decided to make some changes, traded Colby Armstong to Columbus for Steve Mason and a draft pick (they offered me this trade), then I traded Cody Franson, Tim Connolly and a draft pick to Philly for James van Riemsdyk and Braden Schenn. Then I signed Steve Yzerman (legends team) to a 2 year contract. Now I'm trying to claw my way back into the playoffs and hopefully compete for a cup.

Really wish they'd do a Warcraft 4 but can see them splitting it up like they did with the new Starcraft game :(.

You can do that? Good luck for clinching a spot, although with Yzerman I have no doubt you will!

There, I'm "toilet seats"-free, haha. I traded Price (95 overall...) and Budaj (82) for Robin Lehner (88, with "B" potential), another goalie (85), and Jared Cowen. I think I could have been more demanding. I love Price but the guy was asking for no less than $11M per year, which I couldn't afford unless having gaping holes in my defense lines. So bye-bye Carey, you basically won me the cup, but it's time for you to kill someone else's budget (Ottawa).
I also traded aging Zetterberg + a draft pick for Duchene and saved $2.5M in the process, which allowed me to sign Iginla as a free agent. He's old but still good enough for my 3rd line, just what I needed.

20 games in, 17-3-0. This is getting ridiculous, I'm itching to start a new game with a higher difficulty level and another trade strategy. If I win the cup 3 years in a row, I quit.

Just picked up fallout New Vegas... Heard it was glitchy and basically shit, but I need something to occupy my time now that I have to cut back on drinking....

New Vegas is awesome. It was "glitchy" to say the least on release (try "barely playable"...), but with the patches it's all good.
And hang in there.

I liked Fallout 3 a lot so I was looking forward to playing this one until I heard all of the complaints... I found it for 20 bucks so I couldn't really pass it up... Glad to know there have been improvements.. Thanks Man.

Last time I talk about NHL 12 I swear: 62-17-3. Then, Stanley Cup champions of course. 4-1, 4-1, 4-0, 4-0. I'm not waiting for next year's pwnage, I'm starting a new game with a western team and higher difficulty settings. I wish Habs were half as good IRL...

You have x-box live? We should have a game sometime. See how good you've really become. I've only ever played Thomas on Xbox live, for people from this site I mean, and I beat him 3-2. He was better than I expected, but I still won.

I don't have xbox live, I'm not the online gamer type of guy and it's costly, but when I'll consistently beat the All-star difficulty level, I'll get myself xbox live for a month and we'll play. Just played my first game at that level, lost 1-2 against the Bruins with the Canucks. Hardly had scoring chances, now that's what I was looking for! I'm on my way to take control of the (not so) mighty Ducks of Anaheim, All-star diff, Medium GM skill level. Let's see how it goes...
