hiya, can you tell me if my acer 5720-6200 laptop will play skyrim:

Intel core 2duo processor T5250
(1.5 GHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache)
1024MB NVIDIA GeForce
8400 GS turbocache
2GB DDR2
160 GB HDD
802.11a/b/g WLAN
.....
I really hope so -
Minimum System Requirements

* OS: 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
* CPU: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor
* RAM: 2 GB
* HDD: 6 GB
* Graphics: 512 MB card
* Sound Card: DirectX 9 Compatible
* DirectX: Version 9.0c
* Internet for Steam activation

The answer is no. His graphic card (Nvidia 8400 GS) is hardly capable of running it at "low" settings, and his CPU is shit. Not a chance, sorry :sad:

Sucks for them, oh well. Thanks.

Same, somewhere between medium and high. Which is probably better than on a xbox. Thank Noodz!

Consoles are so much easier :P

Been playing Deus Ex: HR a lot, it's certainly better than the second, but obviously not as good as the first.

The first is legendary. Haven't played HR, need to catch up.

To Dev: 6th season, 51-23-8, Stanley Cup Champions. The finals against the Predators were fucking intense. Simmed the first two games, 2-0. Good, I play the rest. Lose the 3rd one (0-2). Lose the 4th one (1-2). Damn they're tough! The 5th game goes to OT... SCORE! I win (1-0). The Preds are completely non-existent during the last one, I win the game 7-1, the series 4-2, and my third straight Cup.

And now I'm out of the game for a while. Need to focus on work this week before the return of Alduin. DOVAHKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!

I'm typing this on my phone so it'll be short and sweet.

I'm currently on my second season with my team, just started only like 10 games in. First in the east, although still very early in the season. I missed the playoffs last year by 2 points which was a pisser. My jobs on the line this year, owner wants at least 44 wins and a trip to the semi-finals. Didn't make too many big changes over the summer, my 4th line is a little more offensively skilled then last year, but it still a typical grinding 4th line. I made a trade at the trade deadline last year that got me young d-man Luca Sbisa from Anaheim. He's turning out to be one of my best defenseman and quite the steal by me. I'll update again after I invest another couple hours into it.El

But that may be tough, because I just bought Civilization 4: Gold Edition Saturday night and it has been consuming me. I just re-read then Civ4 conversation. I'm still very much a noob at this game. But I'm getting better.

First, like I said in the pool I've sent you a trade offer, but please don't accept it right away (if you do), we're up against each other this week and I want this to be fair.

Secondly, 44 WINS ?? And Semi-finals? The guy's on crack or something? Wow. Good luck with that... The year following my 1st Cup, boss only asked for 38 wins and Semis. Your boss must hate your guts.

Thirdly, how awesome, Dev playing Civ4! And I thought you were the casual gamer type (nothing bad in being a casual). Well, if you ever have questions, ask away!

edit: ah, too bad you grabbed Gold and not Complete edition though, it seems there isn't Beyond the Sword in Gold edition. But never mind, the game's still very good. Don't forget to eat, wash and go outside.

I bought it on steam. It has Beyond the Sword. Was playing it last night.

I'm a casual gamer who owns and plays a shit tonne of games. I've got, or did, every "big" x-box 360 game. I've never missed a Halo, Gears, Fable, Call of Duty, NHL, Assassins Creed, Fallout, UFC, or Forza game. I love to play video games, always have. I just mostly enjoy NHL nowadays, and really don't have the time to invest in them like I use to. But, I've got Assassins Creed Revelations pre-ordered and plan on picking it up next week (pumped!) and have MW3 on its way to me in the mail.

Viva la games!

And all this play/talk of Civilization 4 has me itching to get out Age of Empires 3. Always loved the Age of Empires series.

Great then. Ah, too many games, too little time. I love my games too, even though I can stay months without playing anything. I tend to be hardcore, when I play I mean business. I've always been like that. I have a lot of fun in taking games seriously. Perhaps it brings me this accomplishment feeling I lack IRL. Yeah it's probably something like that.

For example I wouldn't have played NHL 12 4+ hours a day if it wasn't for the Be-A-GM mode. Long, challenging (well, not so if you trade draft picks away for good future stars...), love it.

Agreed on AoE, we need an Age of Empires 4. You like Fallout you say? You may like Skyrim, if the (low) fantasy world doesn't deter you.

Anyone psyched by the recent GTA V news? The city will apparently be Los Santos + the countryside, and the map is twice as big as the RDR map (source: Sam Houser, Rockstar's boss or something).

Civilization, The Elders Scrolls, Grand Theft Auto. Three of my five favorite franchises. The others being Command & Conquer and Final Fantasy.

edit: Damn, I forgot Fallout. Ah, fuck it.

I shall give far more of a fuck when the price comes down. Going to try out latest bargain Xbox haul post-update soon, Dark Sector, purchased for £2.50 at weekend.

I'm getting in on Friday and I can't fucking wait :dio: Until then I'm passing the time with Dead Island. It's fun, but also disappointing. Because it's not Skyrim.

Some shops here are selling the console version starting... tonight. I'm waiting for the PC version, I can't game this week anyway. And I don't want to play it in french language. But still... tempting.
