A few times but I wonder why I bother, it's just gonna be a bunch of players on Canadian teams anyway. Letting fans vote is dumb.

Yeah, I hear you. I won't bother. But for what it's worth, here's what my pick would be (nothing original...):

C - J. Toews
LW - D. Sedin
RW - P. Kessel
D - Z. Chara ; N. Lidström
G - T. Thomas

And alternatively:

C - S. Stamkos
LW - J. Lupul
RW - C. Giroux
D - E. Karlsson ; K. Letang
G - J. Quick

And here's a third one because I can't sleep anyway:

C - H. Sedin
LW - P. Sharp
RW - J. Neal
D - S. Weber ; D. Phaneuf
G - J. Howard

I wonder how much a roster like this is worth. $130M?

Of course a struggling powerplay breaks out against the Leafs.

I'm glad you refused this H. Sedin - C. Giroux trade, Dev. I feel sorry though, I like this guy (but who doesn't?)

All I want for Christmas is for the Leafs to make the playoffs and for the smurfs to continue to lose.

All I want for Christmas is for the Kings to score 3 goals in one game.

They've gone 14 consecutive games scoring only 2 goals or less and are dead last in the league in Goals For.

The return of Mike Richards should help out. He was doing pretty damn good before he got hurt, and has been pretty damn good since returning.

Well he's had 11 goals in his last 13 games so I'll definitely agree with you there. Where this team would be without Jonathan Quick and Mike Richards is not something I want to think about. It's unbelievable how many Kings are slumping at the same time. Gagne hasn't had 1 goal in 16 games, Williams has 2 goals in 27 games, Doughty 0 in 19, Johnson 1 in 21, Penner has had 2 all season, Kopitar 0 in 14, Stoll 1 in 12...

Bottom six forwards Richardson, Fraser, Lewis, Hunter, Moreau, Westgarth, Clifford, Loktionov all combine for 6 goals in 170 games played between them.

At least they're working hard now under new coach Sutter. If they can keep that going, results should follow eventually.

They have too muh talent for the goals not to go in. They'll eventually come, but they still are, and have been for as long as I can remember, searching for a winger who's only task is to shoot and score. I know guys like that don't just grow on trees, but they made a ballsy move to get Rochards, maybe it's time to make a ballsy move for some wingers. Trade Bernier maybe?

I love everything about hockey except for one thing: own goals don't exist. Just watched the video, Cam Ward credited with goal is ridiculous...

The goal simply shouldn't be credited.

Well, I think they just want to keep some consistency with the rules. If a defenceman slaps a hard one from the point and it deflects off the opponent's stick and in is that really an "own goal"? Not really, so they give it to the last player who had it.

Fair enough, yes. That makes sense. This is not a big issue anyway, but it feels a bit weird when you come from more anarchic sports like football (soccer) where referee mistakes/poor appreciations and lack of strict rules are almost an institution.

Meanwhile: HABS WON A GAME. Yay.

I'm sure they're looking. To the point of desperation probably, since they even traded for Dustin Penner last year. They don't have any legit NHL ready wingers as prospects either so it's an organizational weakness for sure.

Was nice to finally break through the barrier and get 4 goals the other night though! One more game scoring two or less and they would have been the only team to do so 15 consecutive games in a row since like the 40's.

First World Junior Championship gold in 31 years! Never happened in my lifetime before. God that game was such a nerve-wracking experience, I was a mess afterwards.

Got platinum sections tickets for the Leafs vs. Buffalo in Toronto on Tuesday. First leaf game I've been to in 3 years, first one in Toronto in almost 10 years. So fuckin pumped.
