I've gotten out of Deathspell Omega phase. There are tens of hundreds of more sinister sounding bm bands, they just made it big because of their lyrical content and the fact they turned into a shitty Gorguts cover band on latter albums. SMRC is a swansong as far as I'm concerned.

Well, since I don't really have the time to investigate further upon what other sinister-sounding bands there are above and beyond DsO, please enlighten me by some suggestions. There is no doubt that DsO are very original-sounding and that is one of the major key things I look for in bands. In any case, I look forward to your suggestions.

Inquisition's discography if you can mind the ritualistic vocals, they are the very definition of black metal. Very few bands can compare to Inquisition.

I've seen Inquisition live. I did not like them back then and my friend was saying "shame on you" for me not understanding their music. Ashmedi from Melechesh the vocalist and the main song-writer did not find them the least bit interesting (they were playing with Inquisition). Nonetheless, their latest offering (Inquisition's) in the last year or so I liked a lot but never was eager to purchase an album from them. I do agree they are an original act but the sophistication and most dark aspects of Deathspell Omega I believe are unmatched. Dagon's vocals are good too. We hung out with the guys from Wolves in the Throne Room, Melechesh and Inquisition in the after party. Good times. Primordial were playing the same night as well but I don't recall seeing them.

I would expect Ashmedi of all people to understand the Satanic message behind Inquisition. I am a big fan of Melechesh but even at their best they're not half as good as the riffs on Into the infernal regions and Magnificent glorification of Lucifer. Listen to their first three albums.

I will. Thanks.

I bought them for the same price but with a 2 day delivery and 2 year guarantee for replacement from B&H. I am very happy! My headphones for my Sony MP3 player are almost worn out and by worn out I mean the cover of the cables have come off in one section and at any time it will definitely distort the sound and make me a very unhappy man! Hence the purchase. It promises excellent sound quality in all departments.

Thoughts?

I'm not into earbud headphones, but those looks pretty nice. I bought two years ago my Bose headphones (the ones I'm wearing in my pic), a little expensive, but worth every penny. An amazing listening experience.

I'm the opposite. I like my listening experience to be compacted and small. Yes, I have heard the Bose headphones. They are very fine headphones; a little over my budget considering I am a student after all at the moment. Do you know anything about the sensitivity described in the description part of the link? Adveser should know!

EDIT: I just read an article that explains sensitivity. 100 and greater is what one should be looking for. This is 105.

That's kind of the problem I have with it, but its still a good album nonetheless. I like the vocals especially how they contrast with the music

Not striking you out dude, just curious. Making sure you aren't going to post Evanescence anytime soon.
