Although I agree on pretty much everything you said, I think these:

Where its flawed, it's really flawed (i.e., repetitive levels, not being able to change companion armour, repetitive levels, enemy reinforcements coming in every single fight and appearing wherever they want to, making setting up your team for a fight impossible, repetitive levels, and all quests being only resolvable through violence).

are characteristics of a very bad RPG. Besides, I hate the game being disgustingly simplified. I loathe that trend in video games.
This is just my opinion, and to each his own of course.

Fair enough. My favourite part of Bioware games tends to be the dialogue/storyline/companion interaction, and I usually tend to get tired of their combat no matter the game (in Origins, I found the endless elf quest just as tedious as exploring the same cave twenty times). So I think it's just easier for me to ignore those flaws than a lot of people who really enjoy the combat, especially Origins' more complex version.

Yes, the game would definitely be better if the useless side quests were replaced by a boatload of Flashpoint missions + dozens of PvP modes + intense PvE raids. Keep the storyline of the 8 main quests, and we'd have a very good game.
I'm still playing it, but I admit I have to make myself play it.

I stopped playing about three weeks ago .. back to DDO (especially since they announced druids and forgotten realms expansion). I grew bored for the same reasons everyone else did.

Still playing it :) I'm even a guild officer, just got a Mumble thing running, and all. Fun, but without the guild I probably would have quit.

What do you think about it? I have cancelled it too, I'm waiting for more content.

I was going to write a massive post about why I'm not enjoying the game, but I'm too tired to make an analysis at the moment. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I played WoW for 2 years which made me disillusioned when it comes to MMO's. They always look amazing on the surface, but end up being empty and soulless. Another big issue is that I don't have time to immerse myself into all the storylines, I always skip through dialogue so I don't really enjoy the questing as much as I could if I had more time.

I did love the Flashpoint that I played though, really cool to play with other people.

I totally agree with your take on MMO's. I did WOW for years, and went through all the withdrawal symptoms when I decided to put it down for good. I think my breaking point was when they came out with daily quests. I still watch new content on youtube cause I am curious about how it develops, but I know that if I picked it up I would get sick of it before the first month.

Bought a PS Vita as well as Little Deviants and Army Corps of Hell.

Little Deviants were mostly a collection of minigames that show off the various features of the Vita, Army Corps of Hell is kinda like a mixture of Pikmin and Overlord with a all metal soundtrack, looks cool so far. I'll probably pick up Uncharted: Golden Abyss next. Let's hope there are some quality software coming out for it soon. I'll also pick up the new Syndicate game tomorrow which looks like it might be pretty cool.

I'm told it sucks balls. Ugly, repetitive, uninspired and soulless, technically a failure... Which is a shame, because the original game is legendary.

Believe it or not I`m playing through the Oddworld: Abe`s Exoddus for the first time ever. I`m not a really the biggest video game fan but I am a sucker for a good adventure game. And this one is great puzzle/adventure platformer which they don`t make any more.

Oh my lord what a game it is. It started out kind of cheesy but has developed into an amazing game. I've only played 3-4 hours, but so far everything about it is near perfect. I love sci-fi so fucking much.

If you ever have a bunch of time on your hands you should stock up on supplies, barricade your doors and windows and immerse yourself in Mass Effect 1-3 for 60+ hours or so.

Haven't finished the second one yet. Kind of should. Loved the first one.

Suggest you wait for Steam spring or summer sales and pick up the first two for a very small fee. Probably no more than ten euro for both.

Exactly, I'm going to wait for a cheap pack including the three games + DLCs if there are some.

Been playing a lot of Assassins Creed Revelations the last week or so. Pretty sure I'm almost done the main story, DNA sequence 8 of 9, so I'm trying to get as much side stuff done before finishing off the main story.

Anybody see the new Assassins Creed III video or cover art? Both look very awesome. No more Ezio and no more Italy/Constaninople.

That's what I'm doing as well. I'm going to see if I can stretch out playing side missions before I solve the whole game right before Assassin's Creed III comes out so I can jump right into that game.
