The only MMO I've played is SWTOR, and I don't play it anymore. MMOs are not for me. All you end up doing is farming stuff. Meh.

Agreed, they can all go fuck themselves. I also agree with DevotedWalnut, ilegall downloading is probably the main reason for this. But forbidding me to sell or even borrow the game I have payed for is some form of breaking consumer rights.
I'm not a big video game consumer but I love some series ( Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Prince Of Persia... ) dating from the nineties and have bought every single sequel. If they keep this up my money they will not see.

It's a new version of Tribes, I haven't played Tribes before but the special thing about it is that you can glide around the map, called skiing and use your jetpack to gain speed in uphill terrain. You have a ton of different classes to play and unlock, plus a bunch of weapons and skills and so forth. Plus the graphics are sweet.

Been playing lots of MW3 lately, fuck the haters, and I'm finding I'm getting pretty damn good. I only play Barebones, except for the odd community playlist, and it's so much better. No fucking kill streaks, just gun on gun action. I hate running around in that game and be killed by 5 different copters or a RC car, fuck that. Barebones is the way CoD should be played. Unless you're into hardcore mode...

I played a bit of it over a free weekend on Steam, and no, just no. Console players will probably not have felt any difference (except BIGGERER AND BETTERER!!!!1!11) but CoD became stale for me when dedicated servers became impossible on pc. That, plus akimbo spraying fucktards and quickscoping.

quickscoping and drop shots are annoyiing as hell, that's for sure. But man, in Barebones it's just about the guns and how well you know the map. Cool thing about Barebones too is that it switches between team deathmatch, kill confirmed, and domination. There's not fucking 17 harriers bomb threat nuke explosion or whatever, it's just my AK vs your M4, or whatever. That's just as fun now as it was back in CoD4 days. IMO obviously

Can't quickscope, though, and I do find that annoying. And I haven't even played MW3 yet, still fighting off dogs and wankers on Black Ops.

Try Barebones Pure on Black Ops, no dogs, no nukes, no pave lows, no RC cars, no nonsense, just good times.

Call of Duty.

Every bodies new least favorite series.

I'm not one of the Battlefield-loving CoD haters, but that's where my preferences currently lie. Huge fan of former entries into the series, but they took some wrong decisions and haven't really refreshed the formula enough for me to remain interested. Give me the fluidity of Modern Warfare with the technological innovations of Battlefield and then we'll talk.

Never could get into COD.

I was just visiting my parents and my 14 year old brother, and I thought I'd bond a bit with him over MW3, but my god... It's so incredibly annoying. My first FPS experience was MOHAA, and then the first two CODs, a bit of UT, that stuff. Stuff where you have to move fast, think fast, and aim well. Playing with him was incredibly frustrating- our points would be equal most of the time, but while I was going around trying to outthink his moves and shoot him in the head with a simple assault rifle, all of his kills were either with air strikes, juggernaut bonuses, akimbo bursts or just blasting everything with that huge fuckoff grenade launcher. Just no. Playing online is the same thing, it's so fucking annoying. You don't get two seconds to try and find some cover and think about your move before some shitty 12 year old uses his extra bonus thingy or whatever to blast you from the sky. Fuck off.

BAREBONES

Yep. Modern Warfare is pretty much a game of tag with guns. There is no real strategy to it, just constant running and gunning, then waiting behind a spot long enough to activate your bonus.

On a side note, I put the mark of death on League of Legends finally. I don't care how many cool new champs, new skins, or even maps they put out. I.... will.... resist the urge to re-download it again. Oh, and same to you Mists of Pandaria!

My 15-year old nephew is currently trying to get me into League of Legends. The little bastard.
