Burzum - Det Som Engang Var

First black metal album I ever had. Except for the bore-fest Death Cult Armageddon. But, luckily that was a burnt copy so I didn't feel bad about spending money. Unfortunetly, I bought this album a few months ago because of the bonus disk(Bathory cover, and the orchestral versions of the two songs on the album I liked and still liked) and it's seen less time in my CD player than the burnt one.

Some albums took several listens to grow on me. Had I listend to them before, I propably never would have bought them and forgot about.

BTW, in my 100% trusted opinion your signature is totally annoying.

Now playing:
Ancient Rites - And the Hordes Stood as One

So, why won't you show us you can do better?

Currently sampling Xasthur's May Your Void Become as Deep as My Hate, for the first time.

Man, this shit's a take on BM I've NEVER heard before... Granted, you must realize (You probably already have, hearing that this is my first experience with the band Xasthur) that I am NOT a kvlthead, and my ventures into the world of BM haven't been far.

Wow... is this what all their songs sound like? And if so, does any other BM band sound like them?

Well, Xasthur is a very good band, but not as special as you mention it is. They got a quite distinctive sound though, more of the dreadful doom type though with underground BM sound. Maybe Vlad Tepes can be compared to them, however they are not as doomy. Maybe Trelldom fits better...

Not quite sure, but I think somewhere near the Czech border ... You went there to get some cheap chicks and hooch, don't you?

Now playing:
Iced Earth - Tribute to the Gods.
Well...

Hmm, near the Czech border....
Would be right if you were in Poland or Germany.
I want to have the name of the village.

Lost Horizon - A Flame to the Ground Beneath, the last song Highlander (The One). This album is not of this world. Daniel Heiman's vocal performance on this song is probably the best I've ever heard! It's a tragedy that he left LH, they will never be the same band without him...

DAMN, this source code is getting me nowhere either, it just links to no site, I did find out that your last name is hoek, and your name starts with a p, and that you have chello as an internet provider (which sucks), but it's getting me nowhere on the pic

Of course not, code is just a number. When the picture was taken, I stood right beside my friend with the camera. The athmosphere was really strange. You can see the thundercloud behind the church while being lightened by lowset sun.

You have figured out part of my name, but I don't think my name will get you very far.
I'll give you another hint. It was and still is a "wallfahrtsort"

Not all songs have the same quality, but "highlander" alone could be reason to buy this album.

Honestly, I don't know where the pic was taken but it sure is awesome!

You didn't deny that you went there for cheap chicks and hooch, so it must be Marienbad or Karlsbad .. if not, cummon there are 300 Wallfahrtsorte in CZ. Do you think someone has enough PSI power to guess it?

Haha, you have already scored one point. It is in the Czech Republic indeed, but not in Karlsbad or Marienbad. It is just a small village and a not so wellknown village of pelgrimage in the north. On the other hand, insinuating that I went there for cheap chicks and hooch will cost you one point.

Here's another hint:
