There's always something deliciously wrong about Celtic Frost. Like they're slightly out of synch with the rest of the world.

And I always fill ill (i.e. like I have the flu) when I listen to them - it's like they ooze the plague or something.

This band is complete head fuckery. I like it yet I don't. I'm conflicted, confused and defecating uncontrollably. I might have to discharge all six chambers from a .455 Webley revolver to clear my mind.

This is how melodic Death Metal should be. Heavy a fuck, well written songs and just the right amount of grit.

Another great example of early Melodic Death Metal.

I think Melodic DM got too diluted with later In Flames, Soilwork etc. They lost the guttural vibe in favour of more mindless pop melodicism.

Melodic DM should be violent and guttural as well as melodic. It is a spawn of Death Metal after all.
