Llorente would be my first choice too. But there's just something about Torres.


Llorente must have played instead of Torres, with Navas at the extreme... and if he really didn't want to play with a real 9 starting, Pedro must have played, to do wath Villa's did last World cup.

Considering Oxlade-Chamberlain, I don't know. Could be good, could be miss. Talented lad, no doubt, but breaking up Welbeck - Johnson duo in absence of Rooni :lame: .

I'd want to add that unless Ukraine and Sweden offer a poor show tonight, this Eng. vs Fra. was the worst (or the 2nd worst perhaps) of the 7 we have seen.

Group D is the weakest of all.

Yes, we were lucky to get a draw from that. Outplayed, despite the ref being a bastard. And yes, dull game if not supporting. Neither Agincourt nor Hastings, eh? ;)

Boring match to be honest. France wanted more out of this. England totally disappointed, it seems that the absence of Ruuni is just too much. Stevie G. was nowhere, so was Ribery. One of these teams could easily get burned cause Swedes can be dangerous. If they don't improve that is, and Three Lions just don't seem that good without Roney.

Italy deserved to win that game, IMO. Playing what is essentially a field full of central midfielders is complete "anti-football", if you ask me. Fucking Spain.

As for France, holy shit, Benzema. He could win the whole thing on his own if he finds is form.
