I didn't watch any of the TUF Brazil, but I'm totally going with Franklin over Wanderlei.

Maynard, Stout, Ebersole, Swanson

I'm hoping Wanderlei Silva wins it... Franklin is crafty and he'll fight a smart fight but hopefully Silva wins it in front of his crowd. Also going with Werdum because if he can't beat Russow he might as well quit.

Luckily I watched most of TUF Brazil so I might actually be able to pick some fights:

Ferreira, "Jason" Bezerra, Damm, Trinaldo, Viana, Perpétuo

Fedor Emilianenko retired today following his first round knockout over former UFC heavyweight champion Pedro Rizzo. He retires on a 3 fight win in streak and a record of 34-4.

Tompa goes 4 for 4 last night. Nice. Surprised that Hioki lost, but Lamas used good wrestling and powerful striking to squeak out the biggest win of his career.

Wandy-Rich 2, while not huge for fighter rankings, will be a scrap. Two old school fucks who can still throw. Rich by decision or TKO.

I love Rich Franklin. I cheered so loud when he dropped Wandy at the end of the 5th and again when they announced him as the winner. He says he wants to make a legitimate run at the middleweight title. Hopes all the favors he's saved up with the UFC can be cashed in for another crack at the title.

I say put him in a rematch with Vitor, winner gets the winner of Silva-Sonnen 2.

Speaking of Silva-Sonnen 2, it's only two weeks away! Fuckin eh! Biggest fight of the year. Plan on having a real shindig at my place on July 7th for the fights. Anybody going to be in the Barrie Ontario area around that time is invited. Ha. Pumped!

Let's go Spider! Let's go Spider!

Honestly, barring a few moments where Wanderlei almost snapped and started pummeling as Wanderlei does, Franklin dominated that match. And I want to say that the only reason Wanderlei didn't go pitbull on Rich's ass was because Rich had such control and feetwork to get away. And a shit ton of luck. Franklin is lucky the match didn't called during the second round. I seriously would have called it. He was putting his hands up maybe but his ass got saved by the bell.

Seriously, two weeks away! I saw that and got so excited. Silva is going to be a beast as always but yeah, it's going to be good.

I should have put some money down. 4 for 4 on FX and 7 out of 8 in Brazil. At least it covers some of the shame from my picks lately. Wandy was sooooooo close to finishing Franklin too. Franklin was lucky the fight wasn't stopped right there. He did a nice job recovering though.

Man what happened to Guida? He was my favorite fighter at lightweight at one point.

Silva-Sonnen 2 is very exciting. I hope Silva caves Sonnen's face in.

Anybody see/hear what Anderson Silva said yesterday during a UFC 148 media call? If you have not, I suggest you find it.

Or, listen/watch here: http://youtu.be/timXwA4hlMA

Seriously. He was little weak out of the gates, but did anyone notice the shorts grab there at the end and how he dropped a knee on Sonnen while he was on the ground?

Everybody noticed apparently. Sonnen was not in a 3 point stance when he got hit, and the replays look like he hit the chest. But at the the end of the day it's Yves Lavigne discretion. He thought it was legal. On the short pulling, Silva was warned and let get. Sonnen grabbed Silvas shorts in the 1st round anyway. They reset after Anderson was caught, and Silva still finished him.

I may be rambling, but Silva has finished Sonnen twice now. End of story. Sonnens coach wants to file an appeal and ultimately wants a rematch. We'll see. But The Spider has beat him twice, both finishes, 15-0 and 10 defenses. Kneegrow please.
