If it is, I never got the invite.

I'm actually quite the King Diamond noob. I've only got, before yesterday, The Eye and Give Me Your Soul...Please. I've got all Mercyful Fate has to offer, but am only now expanding my King Diamond collection.

Ah... I see. You should definitely get them all at one point. They're all quite excellent.

Fatal Portrait and Abigail should be your next KD purchase, in fact your next purchase period if you don't mind my advice.
The Eye and Give Me Your Soul are two of his, well, "least good" albums, so if you liked them you will definitely like Abigail, trust me. It is one of the most blistering slabs of pure metal ever; melodic as hell, and with plenty of gallop and steam. Same with Fatal Portrait.

Couple of tracks from Abigail (1987):

Couple of tracks from Fatal Portrait (1986):

Also, The Graveyard, The Spiders Lullabye, Voodoo, House of God, Conspiracy... as was stated, they are all very very good.
It will be a dark day for metal when King stops making music.

I second Val's recommandation.
Fatal Portrait and Abigail are, along with Them, the King's finest solo achievements.

I can't wait until I get my paycheque on Monday so I can pay off my credit card and can buy quite a few rare vinyls.

And finally:

Speticflesh - Esoptron (new)

EDIT:

Lustmord - Other
Lustmord - The Monstrous Soul

Weltenganger is my favourite of all their albums. Flammende Male is a great song.

Dark Roots of Earth. Unless you bought your copy in China or something. Of course.

How is it?

I wasn't counting on buying this one. What you said in the Now Playing thread convinced me it was worth a try. Damn you making me buy a Testament album after all the bad things I said and thought about them.

So, 'damn you' is a form of French endearment? Ah, the international language of love must have so many facets.
