Ibrahimovic's first of his two goals against Lille yesterday (Paris won 2-1): http://youtu.be/a8xePEQEZSQ?t=5s

Okay, there might be skill in this team after all. :D

beautiful play. now let's see them do that against some slightly more competent opponents :P

the Brazil 2014 ball. "Brazuca" is a pejorative term for Brazilians in Portugal lol.

Yet another beach ball...

edit: they should have named it "Bazooka", not "Brazuca".

Cristiano Ronaldo probably is the most pathetic human being on the planet.

He's sad and depressed. Iniesta is the culpable.

The story here is he's sad and "depressed" because he's not the best paid player on the planet. It seems he doesn't understand why Eto'o and Ibrahimovic in particular earn more than him, and feels mistreated by his club for that reason.

He scored twice yesterday, and didn't show any joy. He later this evening said he was "sad because of professional issues". What a giant whiny egomaniac cunt. He earn 10 million a year, and lives in a country hit by a serious crisis.

I love the footballer, I hate the man.

Ronaldo's is a spoiled fucking brat! Messi's the complete opposite of Ronaldo in terms of personal characteristics as a human being. Love Messi and absolutely hate that little prick.

Yeah I posted that the other day, what a joke  He's a better footballer than Stéphane M'Bia though, so Marseille may have done a good deal, but still. Joey 'Neanderthal' Barton! :)

he didn't say he's underpaid. it's probably a stupid reason, but he hasn't specified anything yet and it's unfair to criticise based on speculation alone.

in other news, Zenit St. Petersburg have made a raid on the Portuguese league, taking Hulk for some €50M or more, and Axel Witsel for €40M (his buy-out clause value).

Benfica is effectively crippled after selling off Witsel now and our only defensive midfielder (Javi García) last friday, Porto will find it hard to compete without Hulk but they still have other solutions up front. both teams' european prospects are a bit weaker now, though. Zenit on the other hand should now definitely top their CL group.

on Witsel, he wasn't in the news much, but trust me he is phenomenal. his technique and ability to hold the ball is second to none, he'd fit in perfectly in a possession-oriented team like barcelona.

@Azrael: I saw Witsel play when he still was in Belgium, yeah he's great. And I'm told he's even better now. Zenit were very good, now they are scary. European Top 8 material. Seriously.

As for Ronaldo, sheesh. You have a point, but whatever his "professional" reason is, he's a spoiled cunt, period. And for the record, Messi's not the adorable gentleman people think he is. He's been a tyrant the last couple of years in the locker room.

I love both footballers though. That's all that counts, how they behave on the field...

oui, they are definitely even more dangerous than during the Arshavin days.

where did you get that Messi locker room stuff?

and on the pitch, well, no one can point fingers. it's a privilege to see them play. in a few years we will talk about them like our parents talked about seeing Maradona play.

Zenit would have submitted their squad list for the group stages before Hulk joined, no?

@Azrael: on Messi, from Frédéric Hermel, a journalist who has lived in Madrid for 20 years, works in a TV show in Spain and a radio show in France. He's buddy with Florentino Perez, so he may be biased towards Barcelona. According to him, it's common knowledge in Spain Messi is responsible for evicting Ibrahimovic, notably. I don't know the truth of it (and I don't really care), but what I wanted to say is saying Ronaldo = bad and Messi = good is a little too simplistic. I don't like Ronaldo (the man), but he does charity things, and all. He's not all bad. Just as Messi isn't all good.

@Fridge: don't know, good question.

the European lists could be submitted until midnight yesterday.

Messi can also be a dick (there are video compilations and all that), but he does try to cultivate a good guy image, unlike Ronaldo, who simply doesn't give a fuck lol.

i saw that and didn't want him to join the club, but after a year at Benfica i have to say i don't know what he was thinking, and that it certainly looks out of character.
