No. Bigfoot got wrecked by Cain Velasquez last time out. First round stoppage, they even paused the fight to look at Silvas cuts. It was the same night Dos Santos knocked out Frank Mir. UFC 146.

I was right, but wrong. You were right it didn't last long, but Silva was bleeding out everywhere. http://mmastreamed.com/wp-content/uploa ... -silva.jpg

The fact that Silva stayed in it at all was impressive, but ultimately scary. He wasn't going to pull it off the way he was getting pounded and I seriously was afraid Velasquez was going to fuck his shit up.

A healthy Velasquez will fuck most people's shit up. Just watch the Lesnar fight again. It's a thing of beauty. Cain-JDS 2 will be epic. I hope both are healthy and ready to scrap come December.

He made Lesnar his bitch. I hadn't seen any Lesnar fights prior to that one, but just how dominant he was was frightening.

If you had seen them, you would be even more impressed. Guy was a freak there for a while. Aside from that first bout with Frank Mir, he was fucking monstering dudes.

I've posted a few comments here and there in this thread before.

Big problem is, I can see the preliminary card for free on cable, but the main is always pay-per-view, unless its taking place in Australia (which has only happened twice). Which means I almost never get to see the main card, and its therefore pretty hard to discuss. I see highlights and I youtube some shit sometimes, but its not the same.

I'd try to do more news update and shit here, I just get busy and forget to post all the stuff I read. There is some great sites out there for breaking fights down, round by round, fight by fight, card by card, for the UFC and pretty much any other fight orginization in the world. I check mmajunkie.com almost on the hour, if not more. It is so quick with updates, interviews, pre/post event fight breakdowns, full weigh in coverage, it's really great. Can't recommend it enough.

Up to the minute news is good, but obviously the real fun's in seeing the fights. I think one of these days I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and start PPVing it. It's a real hassle though because cable TV is already crazy expensive here (there is only one company with a total monopoly so they charge whatever they want) so its already a strain on my wallet just to have cable in the first place.

There aren't bars that host events? I always go to Buffalo Wild Wings, which is a chain here, just because I know they always have the fights and they play the audio.

Haven't really looked into it, actually.

Like, I know there are shitloads of pubs that always have live sports on the tv, but not usually with the sound on. I'll have to see if there's any events being hosted.

I'm an immoral fuck who just torrents the PPV the day after. If it's in my timezone I'll buy a webstream of it (I don't think the real PPVs are available) but main cards usually start around 3-4 AM here and I can't be bothered with that.

Sucks for Browne, but he was throwing some crazy shit out there. Big guys aren't suppose to move like that, and blowing his knee out proved it. By holy fuck did Bigfoot put a lot of power into that right hand that dropped Browne. Looked like he was trying to take his head off. Bigfoot-Struve next?

Nice to see Ellenberger get back to his winning ways, wasn't the most exciting fight, but still a good grounded conservative effort by the Juggernaut.

And we have our first Flyweight number 1 contender in John Dodson. He and Mighty Mouse will be a crazy fast and technical fight. I can't believe people were booing. Go back to football.

I want a Bigfoot-Struve fight! That would be sick.

And people aren't going to like flyweight and that's a fucking shame. I went out with people that claimed to like UFC for that last event. They just ignored that entire fight once they realized that the guys don't really have knockout weight behind their fists.

And yet the flyweight find ended last night with a 2nd round TKO.

Very, very lame. I don't even miss fights for hockey games and I've been a hockey fan much longer than a fight fan.
