On the Road basically consists of 200 pages of guys shacking up with women, knocking them up and leaving and I found that to be despicable. As someone who takes seriously the heteronormative conception of a family and raising your damn kids, I just wanted to throttle those guys throughout that book. The fact that feminism seeps into the film seems odd and probably a distortion to mask what I hated about the book. Hmmm...

Yep, the bolded bit was what I took away from it, and the film was subtly critical of them for it. It was almost a feminist critique in some ways, although the sex itself is presented in a light, cheerful way most of the time - the aftermath is where it gets heavy. Particularly the final scene, where Dean is left alone in the darkness, betrayed as he has betrayed everyone...

The PC police doing some ol' historical revisionism, I see.

I think it was pretty heavily implied, yep. That scene was one (Doc pulling the knife out in the cafe was another) when the fun, drugged out romp was loudly interrupted: I never liked those fun interruptions.

If I want fun interruptions, I'll watch Bergman.

We Need to Talk About Kevin. Heavy shit, wow. Makes you think twice about having kids. Fantastic acting by Tilda Swindon and Ezra Miller, overal a fantastic movie.

By all means watch it, it's definitely worth your time. It's one of those movies you have a serious conversation about afterwards.

Just watched Cabin in the Woods and kinda loved it. It was super fun and a tad too smart for its own good, but yeah. Way better than anything else coming out these days. Plus cute redheads for the win. Oh, and it did for anyone else seem like a test run slash homage to Evil Dead. Obviously, I guess actually. When I think about it, it was basically Raimi making fun of himself sorta.

I like Sam raimi and Bruce Campbell. Army of darkness was basically a comedy as well. It had some great quotes. Hail to the king baby. This is my boomstick. Great stuff. The evil dead movies were equally as good. I like army of darkness best though. And the first spider man was great. Bruce Campbell had a cameo as the doorman at the play Mary Jane rotten crotch was acting at.

I don't give one shit about the remake. It was too soon. The Toby McGuire movies were great there was no need to remake aside from wanting to have a spiderman to include in the next avengers movie. Fuck the new spiderman. Even though Emma stone is kind of hot but that's besides the point. I wanna see a deadpool movie. Add him to the avengers. Get Wesley snipes to come back as blade. He needs the money.

Snipes is in jail, apparently will be in Expendables 3. But I meant the upcoming Evil Dead remake.

And for the record, I much prefer the new Spiderman to the last couple Tobey "Where's my Mommy?" Maguire movies.

EDIT: new Evil Dead trailer http://ca.ign.com/videos/2012/10/24/evi ... nd-trailer

brutal

Well that good at least. I had no idea they were making a evil dead remake. Shit that kind of sucks. Some things shouldn't be remade. Bruce Campbell made that movie what it was.

I actually just watched the trailer and it looks kind of decent.
