Like this album, but it never grabbed me like other Converge albums. Had it been somebody else who put it out like Botch or something, it would have floored me.

Gave this two spins today. God, it is so fucking good. Even one of their weaker albums is a beast.

Exactly. It's my least favourite of theirs but still it's an album most bands wish they could make.

I don't get why this gets called one of their weaker albums. Then again I have trouble differentiating the quality of all their post-2000 material.

I'd put Axe to Fall right behind Jane Doe, with the rest I agree. I haven't heard their new one yet though but as I mentioned earlier on paper it sounds like what could become my favourite Converge album.
