by and large yeah HammerFall suck balls but those three albums aren't that bad, you would probably despise Excalion and Serenity as well so I advise you to steer clear of those two

You're listing albums here pretty much everyone knows, this place works a little differently. They actually go out and dig out awful power metal albums, they don't assume people here know who Exxplorer or Steel Dragon of the ninth power sword are they just go right up and review them.

It was a lot worse believe me.

well excuse me but I didn't see reviews for several of the albums I posted such as DivineFire, Harmony, Borealis or Serenity, maybe I didn't look hard enough for two of those but I'm certain about Harmony and Borealis though they had reviewed the album prior to that which I suggested

forgot Sinbreed - When Worlds Collide which I also didn't see a review for

Once you've heard one godawful Eurocrap power album, you've heard them all.

Real men listen to Serpent's Knight

Looking for death metal bands in the vain of Bloodbath. I loved Nighmares made Flesh and any singer who can be as versatile as Peter Tägtgren.

Thanks! from the two songs I've just listened to on youtube this seems right up my alley. Love the fact that they are not afraid of being melodic.

Yes, it has this particular swedish sound of the 90's, like Grave and Dismember. Melodic but not gay.

ok I hear Entombed and Dismember, I am now thinking this band can't not be good so I'll be checking them out like four hours from now when I have had my two hours of sleep

shit that's a bad habit

There's nothing wrong with sleeping, I do it all the time. We have bedrooms at my work, so if I feel sleepy I hit the bed an hour or two.

no nothing wrong with sleeping, problem lies with the lack of meaningful sleep, two hours is simply not sufficient but since there was actually something happening on this forum (unlike the other one I'm on) I hung around here as opposed to sleeping which given the time really should have taken precedent

I am very much too in fond of Burzum's last three albums. Not so much his angst ridden early stuff. I can definitely see why you are drawn to his works in general. Hypnotic, captivating, and quite trance-inducing. Also check Vreid and Absu (for some true drum virtuosity among other things!). Absu's musique cuts throat like the dagger of the most ruthless nomads! Melechesh's music has been described as "Sonic Magick" by the composer himself. Originally and extremely well-crafted music all around.

Cool, man. Thanks.

I already plan on buying some Burzum and some of trapt's recs as well, so I think this could turn out to become very expensive. Discovering a new genre always is!
