The Meads of Asphodel - The Murder of Jesus the Jew

God this is brilliant. Can't believe I had always ignored this band for some reason.

?

Edit: Files containing music does not resonate to a collection without having the album art in your hands or the physical copy of the songs in your hands.

Well because:

A.It was cheaper
B.I'm leaning towards more digital downloads than physical CD's as I'm running out of room for physical CD's(I've got a nice big collection as it is)and I have a bunch of portable devices like mp3 players, tablets, etc that I like to listen to music on
C.Easier and less work. For a CD,you have to take the CD out of the case, stick it in the player, take the CD out,put back in jewel case and put back on shelf. Yeah call me lazy but I prefer to manage time better
D.No worries of scratches and damage
E.Going green

I still on occasions buy CD's but for the most part I'm doing more downloading than anything.

I like physical copies but can't go past the downloads it's just easier, I still make physical copies of everything I download though so I can make sure I never lose the stuff and add it all to my xbox and play it through my excellent cd player (which is hooked in to the surround sound system) love looking at the album art when I'm listening to an album

again not really a purchase

Vigilance - Steeds Of Time EP downloaded free from bandcamp

I advise everyone not to do the same it's dreadful limp wristed retro heavy metal that isn't worth the time it takes to click download

If it's a matter of room then I understand, but for any other reason that you have mentioned it makes no sense to me at all. To each his own I suppose. It saddens me to see people with this kind of mentality about musical collections.

Nope. Just a few of the suggestions of the stoner/doom thread, but it's been a bit of a dry spell lately.

I'm waiting on my new iPod is the main reason. Ever since my old one broke I haven't bought much because I do most of my listening on the road through my iPod. So when I finally get a new listening device, I'm sure my purchasing habits will return.

I did pre-order this last week:

I see. I will have to look further into Destruction as Enslaved has mentioned them as one of their influences.
