Yeah... Sometimes they can be very subtle and left unnoticed.

Yeah... Sometimes they can be very subtle and left unnoticed.
Umm early Destruction is kinda proto-black metal-ish maybe sorta? Maybe they just like Destruction...

I haven't a clue. I haven't listened to Destruction at all. Might be the way you describe it though...

They're about as black metal as Venom is. For whatever that's worth.

Infernal Overkill
Sentence of Death
Release From Agony
Eternal Deveatation
Mad Butcher

If you make it to the newer stuff, then definitely The Antichrist.

Their old stuff is pretty raw though, not many people like the production quality. I think it adds to the music.

Thanks, man. Will look into that.

I personally don't think you'll like them, but there's no harm in trying.

Yeah, neither do I. I'll try them nonetheless. I'll try Antichrist.

The Antichrist is probably the best modern thrash album, ever. By modern I mean since the thrash comeback started, 2000 to now. The only bands that have released anything close to the awesomeness that is The Antichrist may be the newest couple of Overkills and Sodoms M-16.

All my opinion, but I don't think I'm too far off.

I'd throw Tempo of the Damned in with that lot. And there's at least one more I wanna say but it's escaping me..

I'll probably be butchered for throwing Megadeth - Endgame in there but what the hell

Oh... duh. I was thinking of Vektor. Both albums.

I've heard a bit of buzz about Vektor (pretty sure they're on the list of thrash suggestions from my other forum) but haven't really checked them out

You need to get on that shit.

Check out Goat's review of Black Future, and my review of Outer Isolation.

mate you have no idea how many recs I've got to trawl through, remember the list of death metal bands I rattled off? well that's been added to and I have equally long lists for black and thrash metal plus some shorter ones for doom and progressive metal, and being slightly OCD I don't want to get anything out of order (yeah I know that's just completely redundant given that I would end up with the album anyway but meh)

Vektor trumps your list.
