I get annoyed with Ken by the middle of page 4, after he simply says "black metal sucks". I call him a prick and one of your alts, 'Belethor', jumps in on page 5, and you call him to task for hating a genre he is unfamiliar with entirely. 3 pages of pretty consistent flamewars ensure, and Ken seems to threaten you with a ban, although I'm not sure if your alt was banned here. Good stuff, like the old days used to be.

Anyway, I was apologizing for setting you off there, if you were indeed banned because of a flamewar started when I very innocently became fed up with Ken.

Possibly my favorite band ever. First band I fell in love with, spent all night listening to them as a kid. I still got all those tapes somewhere, but I think they're unlistenable now.
I'll be first to admit that they started repeating themselves after Back In Black. But 1974 -1980 era is pure gold, six ( or seven, depends on how you count High Voltage ) hard rock masterpieces in a row.
Definitely most played band in my house next to Holy Metal Trinity ( Sabbath, Priest and Maiden ). Cliched I know, but fuck the haters.

like I said elsewhere the cool thing about metal fans is we don't give a fuck if someone hates one of our favourite bands

Sabbath, Priest and Maiden all epic win though to be honest I think Angel Witch are a little better then Maiden

Why bring up some stupid shit that

a) happened over six years ago
b) has been long forgotten by the two partys involved, with no subsequent hard feelings on either side, both of us agreeing to put are hostilty behind us
c) had nothing to do you either you or anything that is going on today?

Wrong, it was an attempt at creating forum drama by rubbing my nose in something that was forgotten long ago; not surprised you "read it wrong", though. Do you honestly believe it was a fond reminiscence?

V, I've always enjoyed your musical contributions to the forum here, and the last thing I would want to do after returning from yet another self-imposed exile is start something with you.

I was merely trying to make light of a flamewar so typical for the old days, and draw a distinction from those days and now. The point is if we look through our past histories on the forum we've basically all had a fight with other old-timers at one point or another, myself included, with Zad, Stefan, Ken, etc. I highly doubt any of us has ill will for what happened back then, after all that is what the metalreviews forum was about, and we all did it: creating alt accounts, making dramatic "I'm leaving this time!" posts, people being banned all the time, and so forth.

You and Ken buried the hatchet, so did Zad and I, the old metalreviews.com forum is long gone, and looking back through some of these posts, maybe that was a good thing.

No bands with the name "Teen" in them existed at the time.

They've been around since 1999.

And how did I not get involved in that clusterfuck. I miss Tlaloc, Eternal and Legacy. And Adam.

Well I'll be damned then, 1999? Now I'll have to check out the progression of their sound too.

Eternal Idol and Adam were two of the best around here in terms of musical knowledge.

They have a lot of minor releases that I can't get a hold of, but it's basically two of the guys who would form Book of Black Earth and this is pretty generic hardcore influenced death metal.

Adam has a family, not sure what Eternal Idol is up to but I think he popped by fairly recently?
