that's the thing though isn't it, if Scotland becomes it's own independant nation again it won't have that British policy keeping it going so it would have to become part of the European union dependant on the rest of Europe to keep Scotland afloat

Really, explain how Scotland would be fucked. Does it have anything to do with our higher GDP? Or our higher levels of employment? Or our continuously increasing investment? Or the fact that we get less from the UK via the Barnet Formula than we actually give back? Or the fact that all the meaningful natural resources Britain has are in Scotland?

can't help but wonder if the illusion of democracy were to be utilised would these people still complain? if they felt they had a choice, even though in reality they didn't would that quell these rebellions? it seems to keep us westerners in check
