But seriously, he is 3-1 in his last 4 fights with wins over Tito Ortiz twice, and Rich Franklin. His last 3 losses are to Shogun, Anderson Silva, and Rashad Evans. He's been in there with the best, and beaten some of the best. But I agree, this injury should be the one that makes him hang up the gloves. I'm no Griffin fan, but I respect the dude for the wars he's been in and I've had the privilege to watch. And he'll always have a place in my heart for picking Rampage apart.

I'm not trying to undersell the guy, but he's getting older and after seeing how it took GSP to recover from an ACL tear, not even with the MCL tear, I just can't see him coming back any time soon, let alone going toe to toe with some of those guys after this.

He also hasn't really been into it the whole fighting thing anymore. He's got 2 kids, writing books, tv show appearances, he's been done with fighting for a couple years. Just doing it for the payday. Could really tell in his last fight that he just didn't want to be there.

UFC 157: Rhonda Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche just confirmed by Dana White.

Also said that the winner of Shogun-Mauler will get a title shot, as long as no "bullshit" happens.

I hope so, but Henderson was supposed to get the fight, then Machida. "Bullshit" happens all the time, so we'll see. In any case, I desperately want the mauler to win!

I think uncle Dana is mad at Machida and Hendo, will probably make them wait just a bit longer.

GSP has asked Dana White to fight Nick Diaz next, if Diaz says yes then that will be the champs next fight.

ACL and MCL for Griffin? damn I liked him but that is a terrible injury, if he was gonna come back from it I doubt you'd see him before 2014

BJ needs to retire.

Gus looked good against Shogun, but neither will be champ as lon as Jones is around.

Bendo made Diaz look like an amateur.

Swicks comeback is over before it ever started.

All in all, awesome night of fights. And best of all, it was entirely free. Even the prelims had some good scraps. Yves Edwards becomes the first fighter to knock out Jeremy Stephens after guys like Anthony Pettis and Donald Cerrone couldn't.

Abel Truijilo, not sure if I spelled that right, made his UFC debut last night improving his current run to 4 straight wins and he made Marcus Levessuer his bitch last night. Guy looks like a good prospect.

Gilbert Melendez next for the Smooth one? I hope so, so Bendo can wipe the floor with him too. Sure he's good, but he's never fought UFC calibre of lightweights, and Henderson will smother him and dominate en route to a GSP style win.

Sure its been 6 straight decisions for Benson, but he made me a believer last night. If he beats Pettis whenever they fight again, and wins, I don't think there'll be anybody left who can beat him. He'll he at be welterweight before long. Same with MacDonald at middleweight.

Awesome night of fights. I'm gonna watch them again right now.

Watching the Henderson fight. He is methodical. I love his grappling skills combined with how he can just throw nasty kicks. He is so big for the weight class. His hair unraveling as he fights is always a good time. That takedown in the first round leading into those pummeling fists...

This is consuming my time, but so worth it.

Those five jabs to the knee!? What the fuck. That was awesome. And then he just came down on Diaz like a bully on the playground, balled him up and just started punching the fuck out of him.

That stretch away from Diaz! He was doing the splits practically. They just keep reminding us how big Henderson is lol.

Rogan: I've never seen anybody punch calves before.

lol.

That 5th round slam!? I didn't think Diaz could hang in there anyways, but this is just utter domination. I wonder if Henderson is tall enough to just stack muscle on and move up to Welter.

I guess I'll watch that Penn fight too since I'm being a lazy fuck. Macdonald is just obviously outsizing Penn. Damn.

He more than outsizes him, he out classes him at every aspect. Throws elbows like Jones, front kicks like Anderson, and takedowns like GSP. He's the next dominant champion.

Has he looked that dominant in earlier fights.

Yes. But this fight is the best his striking has ever looked. Scary part is is he's only getting better. Every fight he looks better than the last. He wants a rematch with Condit, the only guy whoever beat him, a fight in which Rory was dominanting until Condit came out in the 3rd like a bat out of hell and stopped MacDonald with like 7 seconds left. If MacDonald can beat Condit, which I totally think he can, he's ready for a title shot. GSP better watch out, because Rory is opening up to the idea more and more.

Rumor on the street is that Dan Henderson will not be healthy enough to fight Lyoto Machida at UFC 157, so Alexander Gustafsson, fresh of his dominant win over former champ Shogun, will step in in what will be a true #1 contenders match.

Unless of course there's more bullshit.

Yeahhhh Gustafsson! Looked good too (though likely not good enough to be a real conteder against Jones). But still, at least he seems to have a good chin as he walked through a couple of hard overhand rights, I really thought he'd get knocked out a couple of times. And that leg-lock, whatever it was, had me scared to death.

And man, BJ.... He might still do some damage in lightweight but he's useless as a welterweight. He got smashed, pretty much as expected unfortunately.

And like I said, Henderson has some serious power (not just punching power either) and he showed it once again, controlling the fight from beginning to end with dominant wrestling.

And god damn you Swick, you failed me. I had some nice money riding on the card and never thought Mike Brown out of all people would beat your ass that handily. Nice KO though.
