All I know is that this site needs more discipline.
How so?
Simply more moderation. Also, more strict rules like rules for being banned if done and acted out of the limits for excessive amount of times. I do think the net does need strict rules sometimes because of the random people on it. We do generally get a long quite well despite our differences. I also think having very strict rules can make people avoid sites. But a site like Metal Archives having sometimes ridiculous rules they follow other times is necessary for the order of the site. I think we need to reevaluate our moderation with simply more moderation presence and also more strictness in putting into action timeless rules. I think banning is sometimes necessary among regulating other harsh rules because of the order needed in a website.
If you are talking about steve, he's benn banned already a few times.
Other than that, there aren't any violations of forum rules that I can think of, so I'm not sure what you mean by "more strict rules".
You don't? Maybe when most threads go totally off topic? When a purchase thread turns into drinking thread? For example I like how Thomas handles things around here. You can either act appropriately or the post will be deleted. That kind of a thing might be sometimes the solution to the chaos here once in a while. Are you denying the fact that this site needs more order and discipline? Either way, it is after all just a website and you can always just close the window and come back in a few days.
Fuck all that.
You sound as if you want this place to resemble some 19th century parlor where everybody sits around drinking their tea with their pinkies daintily extended and their legs crossed.
Jesus, the site is a place for 'heads to bullshit about whatever is on their mind. Fuck rigidity, If I wanted any of that action I'd be listening to Pat Boone.
