I want to see PSG playing a big elephant. So far they haven't had much resistance, I wonder how they'd manage against United or Barcelona.

Porto loss is one match after all. I doubt they were afraid of not progressing.

Meanwhile Anderlecht is doing just fine in the local competition. We crushed AA Gent two weeks ago with 5-0, and Club Brugge yesterday with 6-1. That's two of the country's top five teams.

Edit: All the goals of the last match, check out the last one especially. That's an 18-year-old kid, Denis Praet, another Belgian player to look out for in years to come.

uploader hasn't made the video available in my country. racist.

good for belgium to have so many talented kids... meanwhile talent in portugal is drowned out by the flood of south americans.

This just in:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... zvQCbdAIZQ

Some sick stuff by Zlatan right there.
And that was his fourth goal of the game, the three before were also great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2qcRNSNQ1Q
And also, four assists in the CL the game before this. How good is this guy at the moment?

Yes, just saw these goals. Ibrakadabra is simply incredible. Not 100% clear in the head though. Together with Falcao , definitely best center forward right now.

Yeah, turned 31 but still provides breathtaking moments on a regular basis. In fact, I think he must be the forward with the largest number of goals that qualifies as beautiful/great, at least for as long as I can remember.

i was talking with my friend about that just now! if he's not the one with the most career "awesome goals", then he must be in like the top 5 with like... Henry, Messi... Ronaldinho... and some other guy.

He's unbelievable. I've just been perusing old videos... The man has thighs of steel and is an unbelievable athlete. Definitely one of the best players in the world.

Gary Neville on Ronaldo:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... tball.html

what can i say, fantastic player. in my view all-time greatness is defined by how far ahead of his time he is/was, and Ronaldo is, well, really ahead of everyone else.

so here in Brazil, for the first time ever, i have to choose a team. Benfica chose me. then in Mexico i supported Rayados because the stadium was literally 5 minutes away from me and fucking EUSÉBIO played there. in France i said "fuck it" because they all suck.

i'm near São Paulo and they're pushing me to support Santos, São Paulo or Corinthians (the most popular one). now analysing my options. choosing a club, how weird.

:dio:

meanwhile Benfica and Porto are still tied at the top of the table in Portugal. fans of either team find themselves hoping to be eliminated in Europe with the rivals passing because both teams are on tight schedules with i think potentially 7 matches in 22 days.

so now we have
SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA x Girondins de Bordeaux
Viktoria Plzen x Fenerbahçe
Anzhi Makhachkala x Newcastle United
VfB Stuttgart x SS Lazio
Tottenham Hotspur x Internazionale
Levante x Rubin Kazan
FC Basel x Zenit St. Petersburg
Staeua Bucharest x Chelsea

Benfica faces a tough calendar (7 games in 22 days) and is fighting it all for the Portuguese title, while most teams here have given up on their domestic ties. happy to get Bordeaux. it's a shorter trip to Bordeaux, and thanks to the huge Portuguese community there we should have 2 home games. as a bonus, we get to fuck another French team. they have to understand that they have a shit league with too much money and not enough talent. our manager already stated the Europa League is not a priority though.

good to see Spurs x Inter, that's one less giant in the competition.

I've never liked Barca all that much, butt fuck it! Last night's domination was just, whoa!
And even though I kinda like them, Milan sucked beyond comprehension.

couldn't catch the match (still office hours here in Brazil, damn it) and only saw the 2 first goals, but holy shit. the first one is incredible, pinball-like passing play and then Messi was unbelievably fast to just fire it into the top corner. they didn't even know what hit them.
