Album fucking rocks :dio: Album is just in your face however I was expecting a slower tempo judging from the first track they released but to my surprise it's a pretty intense album. Been spinning it for like a week straight.

I'm really excited to hear this album. I've been a fan since Osculum Obscenum. I've even got a vintage vinyl of Carved Up with a creature eating an unborn baby that it ripped out of a pregnant woman's belly on the cover. I remember thinking, that is pretty messed up. That's like some Cannibal Corpse type shit. I really liked A Taste of Extreme Divinity. The only dud I can think of in their catalog is Into the Abyss. The Fourth Chapter is still one of my favorite albums. Actually, when I think about it, I really need to go back and listen to The Final Chapter and Virus. My friend got the Osculum Obscenum digipak way back in the day and I've been hooked ever since. Also, he just produced and recorded my favorite band's newest album which also comes out this month. This year has started off pretty awesome with new albums from Stratovarius, Hypocrisy, Amorphis, Voivod, Helloween, Nails, and Portal. I am going to check out the new Pretty Maids too. I just got to make sure I'm in that mood before I listen or I wont like it. It can't be much more poppy than Stratovarius and I like that so I'm sure I will like it.

Hmm, the reviewer loved the original Catch-22? I think our opinions differ on that, and probably this album too. Oh well.

Maybe you should try it before knocking it.

Nah, two tracks was enough. It is well-done, just not what I was looking for this time.

I don't think it's as good as Virus or Extreme Taste of Divinity.

To be honest it just sounds kind of generic.

Kind of disappointed with this one.

the title track is pretty good though.

After one listen I wasn't terribly impressed either. I will have to give it more attention, but it does seem pretty standard stuff (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

I'm going to say that he's older than you and probably has been listening longer too. Just a guess.

Hypocrisy blows.

Thanks bro, I've definitely listening to this band longer than him, but I'm fortunately not older than Ken.

And Ken, those two track (legally released by Nuclear Blast!!!) were by the numbers blandness. I have five Hypocrisy discs in my collection, I don't need to hear the whole album before deciding it is going to be nothing like the self-titled or 4th dimension.

How old is Ken? Not calling either of you old, just thought you were older than him. Oh well. It's funny making him angry.

I think he is well into his 30s. Congrats on his recent marriage too, if he reads this.

First listen a few tracks stood out. I was getting drunk so I don't necessarily remember which ones they were, but I remember a point where I was thinking, okay I'm gonna change this cause it's getting kinda boring. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It's seldom that I get a new album and make it through the whole thing at once the first listen. Anyway, when I went to change it some of the coolest parts I had heard on the album started happening so I ended up leaving it play till the end. I think this may be a grower and I know Hypocrisy has some killer chops so I'm gonna keep listening.

I'm 37.

And Jesus, you tards, I am never angry. I'm sarcastic. There's nothing stranger than people online thinking I'm sitting here brooding, all pissed off all the time.

Still, I do think many of you should commit suicide. :P

You may not get angry but you certainly make the biggest stink whenever somebody trashes a band or album you like.

That's not why I make a stink at all.

I feel that way sometimes. It is ok.

And Ken, I'll commit suicide if you go first.
