sounds good to me. i like Slough Feg and Hammers of Misfortune's faster-paced songs, and Satan is cool too (the new album sounds excellent, judging from the review and sample on youtube, btw, gotta check that out), so i'm definitely going to check this out.

Dawnbringer is cool and all, but the vocalist sucks.

Based solely on this, I'll look into them.

It's good, but not amazing. Definitely reminiscent of Lord Weird Slough Feg era stuff, at least in terms of production and in terms of lacking a punch in songwriting.

Never! Wait, depends on where you place Traveler in the shift... Atavism is equal to Traveler, but the last few albums plus Hardworlder might be better than Down Among the Deadmen. Never got into the earlier than that stuff. I stand by my initial rejection.

Traveller, then Atavism. Just youtube Atavism II and listen to it on repeat for days on end.

So wrong! I'll give it to you that those first two are solid albums, but not nearly as instantly catchy.

I wasn't ranking them, just giving him my 4 favourite.

Would also throw Ape Uprising in there.

 Well now, I listened a couple of tracks from all of those albums and I dig the tracks from Twilight, Down Among The Deadmen and Traveller the most. Some pretty cool lyrics on later albums.
I think I'll start with one of those, probably with Traveller cause both of you apparentley like it.Thanks for the recommendations.

If you're just doing song for song, try Shakedown at the Six and Simian Manifesto from Ape Uprising.
