I went into Amoeba Music without a lot of cash to spend so I got these all used. I was pretty surprised to see that they were selling InsideOut promos and that they were still there 7 years after they were "released" considering the prices.

Overall that store was pretty underwhelming for metal. It's a complete clusterfuck that has Iced Earth in the Metal section and In Flames in the Rock section. Makes no sense. I prefer the local warehouse music personally for pop/rock music to be honest since they do not segregate used from new albums. I could easily find a lot of stuff in there, but the drive through Hollywood costing me 2 hours really makes me want to not go back without a fat wad of Cash. I hate to bitch about a record store being open, but it seems like I could have gotten everything online anyway regardless. I mean, the old Camelot music had far more metal CD's back in the day at their mall locations. Disappointing really. No Labyrinth at all!

I bought the new Boston album.

I haven't really dug into the new stuff yet, but everything scholz has ever written I have REALLY liked, like it's masterpiece quality songwriting and production every time, even for Walk On, and Corporate America. Too bad the latter has half the tracks written by his friends.

And unfortunately 3/11 songs were scholz songs from corporate america, which is good - tacked onto the end as a bonus, with the rest being a solid 8 new songs album. Apparently Tom thinks no one heard CA, so he want to give those songs another chance, despite big fans like me having heard them 100's of times. Why am I able to sing along to a brand new album I just bought because I know the songs.

The other issue is the vocals. There's four singers, like this is a Beatles record or something. They should have just used Delp in the background vocals, frankly, and had one guy be the singer all over the album, but the rest of the "vocal team" all over the record when needed. It worked out so perfectly on Walk On, Brad Delp wasn't even missed in my book.
