I guess you liked the first album. That doesn't mean i can't say how boring it was for me.It's because of such childish and thoughtless comments i'm beginning to wonder about the future of the forums.
And you'd better be speechless because i'm sure the next thing you say concerning someone else's opinion will be even greater idiocy. So don't humiliate yourself any further.

Uh, it wasn't for your opinion of the album, but the combination of you dissing the (good) album and then saying some crap about how you had leeched the album...

People who show their commitment to metal by ripping CDs make me see RED!!!! Image

So you are saying he should have blindly bought the album? It's perfectly reasonable to download albums to see if you like them and then purchase them later. No sense in investing in crap.

You want then to swap places with me just to see what possibility i have to actually buy an album ?
Go someplace to cool off before saying something like that again. You obviously have no idea what's it like where i live. You may be financially secure but i ain't.It's concidered privilege to actually celebrate a birthday.
The only way for me to listen metal music is downloading and whenever i can i buy only those i concider the best. And i don't see why you feel obliged to remind people when they download something.
Guess i'll be making you quite RED since i download 95% of my entire music :P

I have to agree with Metal Knight with this one....not with the downloading thing, but i too liked very much their debut album. IMO, 68/100 is an insult and it deserved much more.
I would have given it around 90/100. A great effort for a debut album, which produced awesome tracks such as One Last Chance, A Warriors Path, the brilliant title track and the awesome ballad, This Promise I Swear....among the other good tracks.
When i saw this band within the other 9 reviews for this week, i went straight to them first shot.
Given that the score has jumped to 90/100 for their 2nd album, i am very very looking forward to hearing this album.

same here

it was crap so after a single spin I happily deleted it from my HD :P imo, there are too may useless (dare I say Generic ? ) bands in the PM scene right now (which makes "dwarves" like Kamelot or Iced Earth look like Giants)... and so, HG's first album was an obvious example of this sad situation but since this one got a so good review I'll download it to see if it's worth buying

Dont agree exactly. I thought a few songs were good off the 1st album and then a few fillers. I did not listen to it much, but I am sure I will like this new one better.

Well I agree that the first album deserves more than 68 / 100... I would say more in the line of 78-80 / 100 myself.

No, I didn't say that. But now that u mentioned it, I don't think there is any sense in downloading the whole album just to see if you like it or not. Usually 2-4 songs/clips is enough to give a very good impression of how the album/band sounds like.

But on an interesting sidenote: I have many times buyed albums blindly, just based on descriptions or good reviews, but I admit all hasn't been quite the greatness that I thought of :/ ...thus I've began to think _maybe_ I should actually take a listen to every band/album I'm about to buy, regardless of what I think it will be about

Well, I didn't KNOW you lived on such crappy and un-metallic conditions! :? Of course that is not cool... But I don't need to cool off from bashing ppl who rip their music! I still condem them to the deepest hell
Compared to ppl with jobs, I'm not financially secure...
You said: "It's concidered privilege to actually celebrate a birthday." I didn't get this? You mean u can't even afford a cake or whatnot and have some fun with your friends? Or that you ppl are so depressed that you just can't celebrate you birthday because of all the misery? :(
I bet, if you really wanted, you could easily order from some good mailorder site and have all your wanted CDs for reasonable price. I know many in Germany that I use/will use  (and no, they don't require a credit card!)
95% of ripped music!! Whoa, that's A LOT!! You are like the anti-equivalent of me!!  ...no, actually that's sad :(
You make Bulgaria sound like slum or Siberia, but like I said I think mailorder is the answer to your problems!

I may have been a little to harsh in my description, but yeah we sometimes don't get a cake or go out to party just to save some cash. And the people here are the most joyous no matter the conditions.Few are depressed because of the way they live.
Don't bet trust me :) .I really really want to, it's just not possible to pay the taxes and buy expensive cd's unless they are cheaper than 7-8$.There is a guy from San Jose CA that comes the summer and sells second hand CD's that are cheap( around 7$) so i use the opportunity and this year i got 4 cd from him.
We have pretty decent stores here( Wizard or SMF) that has most ot the stuff so it's no problem when i have the cash( which is a rare thing).
Bulgaria is a beautiful country so if you have the chance come and visit. For foreigners it's quite cheap and you get to visit the best places.I recommend mountains.
And please next time you see me saying i downloaded something, save your comment for someone who deserves it.

Based on their website samples (a way to avoid the illegal downloading), I have to agree that the first album sounds decent while the new album really sounds good. There was definite improvement, especially in the vocals. My only problem with the sound of the new album is that the drums are mixed almost like an afterthought, but overall, I think I'll have to get online and order it.

The first album is titled "from the cradle to the brave" chris, not "from the glory to the grave" :)

Thank you for reviewing the album chris...you see it pays of to listen to me

Ok since Highland Glory is coming out with a new album next month. Their first in 6 years I want to give my opinion on this one.

I really enjoyed this album a lot. Nice catchy power metal all the way through. I especially enjoyed the balled The Sacrifice. Nice female/male combo singing.

I'm hoping the new album is just as good as this one.
