Good review. This album is just fucking awesome. Every song is so great. I really wish they had been able to play some more of these songs at the concert the other night. Warrel Dane kicks ass.

yeah ! good review ! :D

this one I don't need to dload first, it's a blind buy...
my fav of theirs being Dead Heart in a Dead World I was quite happy reading :
Quote:
The catchy choruses and overflowing melodybursts of Dead Heart In A Dead World (their best record in my view) are sidelined mostly by more brutal and even more progressive song structures than usual.

at least a metal album in which I'm sure no cheese won't be included !

Gave it a spin yeterday. Not a bad album at all. I would get bored with no slower tunes however, but very good thrashy metal for sure. I like this better than the new Arch Enemy cd.
got both pretty cheap from centurymedia.com ($10 each)

The slower songs are awesome. Sentient 6 is one of the best songs on the album. And that is saying a lot.

I think I'll buy this one and the new Flotsam And Jetsam album tomorrow, if they are in the shop... :o
I'll return with some comments after I've listened 'em ;)

Yeah this CD kicked my ass too, add me to the list.. I'm about to go give it an 89/100.. I don't quite feel it belongs in the upper tenth percentile because some of the songs lacked cohesion, and a few places threatened to become melodic death. but definetly a great CD.

I've only heard "Final Product" so far. I'm 36 and I feel like a teenager again waiting to get this tomorrow. :)

Enemies of Reality remixed/remastered is unbelievable. These guys are pure quality.

www.runtothehillsusa.com/photos.htm if you want to see my pictures with them, Maiden and others...

:D

For me this album is getting better and better with each listen.I'll wait giving it a score a few weeks just to be sure the score is final.
My favourite song is Bittersweet Feast. It has the best chorus and the most intense drumming i've heard since Rage - Unity album.

Good Review man! Yeah this album does grow on you but the more I listen to metal the more I perfer those kind of albums over the immediate ones. There's more depth to the music and you tend not to get sick of it as fast. Dead Heart is still probably my fav Nevermore album too but this is definately second in their amazing discography. And this is my album of the year! Thank God they used Andy Sneap again too. The only album that could top it IMO is the new Symphorce album Godspeed. I'll have to wait and hear I guess. What's with the 'God' thing in all these titles lately? Anyway I will be picking the real album up later today. Hopefully I can find the edition with Revelation Mother Earth.....

Got Metal?

i am gonna play the bad guy in this one and say that i was dissapointed from the album. I love nevermore and got that one without even listening to a single note. Didn't you guys notice that you can sing the lyrics of dead heart and dreaming on the melodies of the new album?I mean they are almost the same!!Adding to that WHERE IS THE RIFFING????they used to have amazing riffing and i did not find a single part of the album with this kind of riffing...Don't get me wrong it's not that i did not like the album it is just i had so high hopes (especially after listening the remastered enemies of reality) for this one that in the end i got dissapointed. Anyhow this is my personal opinion and i give it an 80%...

I didnt think the store would have it today because metal new releases never arrive on time here but they had it! And to make things even better, I found the remixed version of "Enemies..." used at the store across the street ! Hurray !

I actually found the new album at a Best Buy around here for a decent price. I used to have an awesome local store down the street, but the downloaders killed their business...

Anyways, this is my favorite band. I listened to this album once and I already think it may be as good as DNB. I may be the oddball-out by saying that DHIDW is my least favorite Nevermore album. DNB is my favorite and this new one is right up there with it.

Now if only they would tour the U.S. as a headliner and get some solid support... it seriously kills me that their European tour has such awesome support.

There's your problem right there. Expectations ruin albums for people, they've done it to me a million times. Let it sit with you for a while, give it a chance and usually those high hopes you had will disappear and you'll realize this album is awesome!!

My friend sent me a text message a while ago that said:

New arch enemy is fn weak
track 8 sounds like satriani
2 thumbs down
i feel like they let me down

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! So stupid! That's his "high hopes" ruining a good album!!

Same here I like Nevermore's Release much more than Arch Enemy's From the first couples of songs I heard on each album. I'll be listening to both CD's more thoroughly in the next few days.
