I bought the first one based on the recommendation here and it really disappointed me. I think the first one deserved the score given to this one.

:evil:I have this cd and My Rating is: 8.5, In www.metalstorm.ee the Rating is:9.1 and In www.rockreport.be the score is 4 of 6 stars, please read this pages to compare reviews because 46 / 100 is not real to me.

I don't think it deserves that rating either, but Jay is entitled to his opinion.

My rating would be in the low to mid 70's so far. I listened to this last night while doing some college related stuff and just about every song made me stop what I was doing and really pay attention. Overall it was very enjoyable but not outstanding.

I liked their first album.....good but not excellent. I think I gave it a mid to high 70's for my review. I'll have to listen to this new one and maybe I'll post my score. I empathisize with Jay about the same repetitious speedy power metal.....I'm a huge fan and even I'm getting a little tired of it.........

For me it's not as repetitive because I listen to so many other styles and I haven't istened to this type of power metal in a while. It's still almost refreshing after listening to death and black for a month.

I really enjoyed the first album by this band.. I'd have given it (at the least) an 80.. but thats just me. I have not heard the 2nd album yet, I was just wondering if the guy who gave it a 46 even liked the first one if he did, then I might be cautious in a purchase and listen to it through download first. But if he didnt even like the first one, I cant trust his opinion on this band.

The first Arwen album was just ok to me. I would have scored it 65-70.. This one just sucked.

If you scored the first Arwen an 80 I think you'll really like the second one. Just in case though, download some songs first, doesn't hurt to do that.

Yea. I put off sampling this album for a long time, just because of the bad review it got here. Well, I heard it, and now I own it. Don't take this review seriously. This album is totally awesome, and I urge anyone that has enjoyed this type of metal to run and grab this one. You won't be disapointed.

85/100, easily.

I have finally heard this album in it's entirety. I do not like it as much as the first.. But it's very close.. I'd probably quote this one at 73/100. It has some great songs but just not as much as their first. The best songs IMO are: Illusions, Riding Alone, Infinity and Lullaby. The rest of the songs range from good to forgettable whereas their first album never had any forgettable songs IMO it was a mix of great and good songs.

Personally I'd recommend sampling the album before buying.
