Thank goodness for a good day and even more for fine jazz. Good night.

A dedicated listening session to these landmark recordings, in the afternoon.

Serious art rock that never overstays its welcome, never too fluffy, never too light, where instruments, melodies, and arrangements, are in strict adherence to one another, with lucid clarity.

Yet, another Green album acquisition that certainly meets basic expectations, but rarely surpasses some of his much more accomplished recordings.

Thanks for sharing. Such an interesting recording given Paul Desmond's missed plane forced the quartet into a trio. Normally I'd think that would be a very bad thing, but in true improvisational style, less is more here.

North, it is impressive that you knew about that musical fact. Yes, this particular live recording somehow sweeps back into my playlist, somehow without pre-emptive notice.

My first ever hearing Mr. Yusef Lateef and Co. Mr. Kenny Barron (central role in the playing of the piano) I have been exposed to quite a while back but Mr. Lateef is someone that I have always known about but have only just acquired yesterday which is this live recording. So far, so good. Two disc edition. Apologies for the white in the photo. No better image was shown at this time.

Never before heard live recording. Rather well done, to say the least of an outstanding line of musicians on this particular historical recording.
