Thickening, blackening. In the midst of playing the Shining thereafter followed by Forgotten Tomb's debut. It is hot and sticky here but I am expecting a much more pleasant evening. Hope all's well.

Now, I understand why you listened to so much suicidal BM. It's so intoxicating, crushingly heavy and so absorbing.

I was listening to this and other early CoF again last week. They had good and bad periods afterwords, but that original run remains unmatched imo.


Great albums, the first Forgotten Tomb holds a particularly special place for me. I loved discovering it and tracing the obvious influence of Dance of December Souls era Katatonia, and obscure Finnish doom bands like Dolorian and Unholy that I already loved.

North, buddy, it is so pleasant to see your presence on the forums. Oh yes, I remember Dolorian. How can I ever forget about them. I have not heard them in nearly 2 decades, but I fully remember just how brilliantly haunting their music was. And the same goes for Forgotten Tomb. Herr Morbid seems to exude riff after riff, without any real effort, truly remarkable.

After sometime with extreme doom metal we spend the next approximated hour with some fiction/science-based DM sonics.
