Further time with this.

Of great magnitude and power.

Well, as the wise old saying goes, debuts are never to be replicated. And they'd be right!

Special Edition with bonus tracks, to see if it impresses me more. The base sound is there, but RC have self-plagiarised so much over the last couple of decades that it's hard to love new material from them immediately. "Heard it before" syndrome, or am I being too harsh on the Tolis family?

Now that you ask. Yes, you have gotten far too harsh, on so many bands that deserve to be reviewed with much kinder, much more empathetic ear. But that is not how you were several years ago. A lot of times, you seem to be very frustrated, where there is very little objectivity to be found, my good man. You have to keep a close internal eye as to how the passage of time changes you, both in temperament, but also in heart and mind. Years pass by, and because of our humanity, we do not realize how greatly we have changed, typically towards the not so positive, and yes, it happens frequently, and in abundance. There is so much great music to be heard, both of the old, and the new. But when you think you've heard it all, it is then, that you're just tired, buddy, of all of it, really. It is not humanly possible to have heard it all, not in one lifetime, or even in a few.

It isn't like Kerry King is just starting off in the scenery, but this album does hold up quite a bit of weight and substance. It does sound like a more straightedge Meshuggah, most especially, the vocalist, but also quite a few instances of the overall song-writing structure. And Kreator. Likeable.

A favourite of mine. Both discs.

Our realities, that is, human realities have always been there. Since time immemorial, and that is why, all human tragedies are ever so familiar, and never too far away, from our lives, and theirs.
