A great exercise for the mind and the soul.

A contemporary live recording by primary speed-heads, but no less energetic, and if anything, much maturer. The execution of the guitar lines, vocals performance, and drum beatings, are much more well-rounded, than say, their formative years in the spotlight. A greater mastery of their axes and batteries, I'd say, and no less powerful a band, but certainly, a tempered band, at this point, in their last few years of existence, as a unit of three.

Yep, a little further out from the rockets, thankfully, but still scary.

yea I never got the hate on swansong, always really liked that one.

I have been listening to more Carcass, their early material just before Swansong, and I think even their early material is still excellent. I have not heard the debut.

A much younger band but with same degree of grit and that indefinable sparkle of charm. I have only given this a few listening sessions. Very little familiarity with this recording.

The meaning of classic.

Very much a by-gone era but the energy is yet still all-absorbing.
